The Grace Lyrics - Dallas Green
Review The Song (11)
In better days I've been known to listen
I go to waste,
all my time is missing
I'm mapping out my ending,
it's never gonna happen now
These things are condescending
with everybody backing down
You pray to stars that can help you get by
And all at once you forget to try
I'd go there if you let me,
they're never gonna find me now
My life is always empty
and in and out of doubt
You're not coming back for me, these things they will never be
I'm so used to being wrong, so put me where I belong
sponsored linksI'll get back to you,
God knows I try,
but I still lose
And I get back to you,
these days run by,
but I still lose
Angels say they can make you suffer
They give and take like a vicious lover
When all this loses meaning,
You'll never want it back somehow
Awake but still I'm dreaming
And never waking up
Alone...Where I'm not alone [4x]

I still cannot get enough of this song. It came out over 2 years ago and it still sends shivers down my spine. I absolutely LOVE Dallas Green and Alexisonfire. He's my favorite singer and they're my favorite band. I would KILL to see them live, or just see Dallas. He doesn't come to Texas enough! If you really love Dallas' voice you need to listen to his newest CD, Bring Me Your Love. It's actually under City and Colour. He is such an awesome song writer, and an even more amazing singer. I'v got tattoos dedicated to Dallas and Alexisonfire. Can't get enough!

Freakin' Awesome | Reviewer: Pat Rick | 11/21/06
Dallas is one of my favourite songwriters ever, and this song sealed the deal. I had heard Neverending White Lights was going to feature Dallas, along with some of the other singers from great bands (Our Lady Peace, Finger Eleven) and scooped the album the day it came out. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Check it out --> Neverending White Lights: Act 1: Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies. I also recommend grabbing the new alexisonfire album - Dallas Green's Band - Crisis. Good stuff. Check it out.

The best song I've heard in a long time. Dallas Green's voice is truly amazing. I saw the video on Much Music and it caught my ear. I downloaded it from iTunes today and have it on every since. Dallas, if you read this, you are very talented. Keep it up. Your band, Alexisonfire, is also amazing. Good to see some new talent come out of St. Catherine's!
