i think that in the start of the song he loves this girl and towards the end they break up and she hurts him and wont Reconcile with her which means make peace. she might have been a heartbreak and the song is a "hey i am over you and i will never make peace or be your friend" and he is fine with just rewinding the old memories of her. he doesnt want to make new ones.

I think the 1st part is talking about his first love and how he loves her but he feels like he's "just going through the motions" and tells her he wants to take a break to explore other girls. The chorus talks about how he has to go through with his decision to explore and hopes his first love gets over him. Then the second verse talks about how he has found another girl but he constantly thinks about the girl he left and wants her back. Then at the end he decides to chase after his first love. At least this all what i get from the song :)

Well I'm 14 and I've never played guitar hero... It just kind of stupid to be honest, haha. I play guitar and I think I'll stick to playing it instead of wasting my time on fake ones. Great song, either way!

I was just readin comments on the 'F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.' lyrics page, and everyone's was talking about Guitar Hero, how dumb. I think it was two or three out of 15 people who knew the song from the previous album, or at least from Doppelgänger.. anyway, what a surprise to not find no comments whatsoever here. Nobody knows about this beatiful song I guess. The chorus makes the song really enjoyable, but the frantic music it's what caughts my heart. This song also is on their self-titled first album, but I prefer the better produced new version.

so yeah, I haven't heard one person give their opinion on the meaning of the song? Does anyone know? It's really interesting, at first it sounds like it's only talking about one girl, but then as it goes on, it seems to be referencing an internal battle in which he has to choose between the second girl (I know that you really wanna go) and the first girl (her heart in my hands), and if he doesn't want to leave the first girl alone and weak, but at the same time, he doesn't want to leave the second girl because he's already made a promise to her. I just dunno. My opinion. Feel free to interject.
