Review about The Faint songs

------ About the song I Disappear performed by The Faint

Quite honestly, looking only at literal drugs or at relationships is awfully narrow-minded, although both are valid interpretations. It could be any artificial construct that society deems appropriate, or alternatively, it could be a crutch to escape the general paralysis in the situation a la James Joyce. A dispassionate relationship would fall under the former, and drugs under the latter.
In fact, many of The Faint's lyrics reflect a worldview very similar to that of Joyce.

------ About the song Desperate Guys performed by The Faint

...the first time I heard this song, I was surfing the net for new music...the Faint...OK...hey I was a desperate guy...still shamelessly in "like" of this song...and the person. Yes once you hear it, you want to hear it again and again. Now, I'm shot right to the person I thought of when I heard it. I will never hear that song without remembering that peoson. Thanks it's a great memory to hold on to.

------ About the song Ballad Of A Paralysed Citizen performed by The Faint

The lyrics aren't litteral, per say. The song is an extended metaphor for people who use others ignorance for personal gain. And in turn manipulate the innocent into "paralyzed citizens", unable to function as they once did.

Ex. Girl uses a guy as a rebound, leads him to believe it's something "real" (kid faking drowning). With this understanding he puts all of his "chips" in one corner (lifeguard diving), she recovers emotionally because of his compassion and has to apologize because she was never really into him, he was just ready and willing. ("while they just hope to make amends
the family and the kid who faked the drowning incident") But the apology doesn't change the fact that he put everything on the line for one girl, which cripples his ability to trust.

Agenda Suicide | Reviewer: edeichinger
------ About the song Agenda Suicide performed by The Faint

I get what Todd Fink is trying to sing about. There is a grind to life and things at a cost, no doubt. Kind of a "saving private Ryan" story. A story about making your life count for something. I can get behind that. The part I have concerns about is this Non-sense about the futility of a chosen path. Apparently also includes an insensitive population serving their live s for no good. IMOP/OPED; What ever path you chose or are stuck with [in some unfortunate way] "We" make our lives count minute by minute. There are always opportunities even in troubled times to redeem things in some way. Oppression of the human race is NOT legal. I am saying that having tasks to accomplish through out the day is not a shameful endeavor. Even in the roughest of circumstances life is still worth the cost. At least the song leaves the door open for homo-sapiens to choose whatevA, I would think (if I got it right off the re-mix) a "better" existence. Kinda makes me sad. Think about it. If you did something trying to do the right thing and become paralyzed from the waist down and then did out the kid that you were trying to save....never was drowning. It was a joke to his friends? Maybe his parents. That is shitty. I guess I get it bc this guys luck seems about as good as mine. Suuucky. Love the faint tho. Entertaining at times. Sad at others. Confusing other times...but if you listen again...you'll get it. Better topics than waaaaa waaaa my woman left me. I want to die. Or wut up biatch? Suck it! No thanks. I'll take some music that talks about things that make you think.

------ About the song Lullaby For The... performed by The Faint

i love this song, one of my favorites off of media. but my initial thought is... what does this song mean? it almost seems as if its explaining kids learning about the birds and the bees by hearing or seeing their parents in action. but the logical idea would be that they found that religion is not for them. i hope it to be the first, because i see that as more clever.

------ About the song How Could I Forget? performed by The Faint

I love this song; not only does it have a truly fierce hook, but the lyrics really pull the music out into the light and make the melody even more addictive.

That and it's fantastically catty.

You go, Faint.

Absolutely the best of the unknown bands out there today. These guys are truly an amazing band that write songs with the catchiest riffs and hooks and lyrics ever. Hope they stick around for a while.

"swing" no one writes aboutdrugs really, youre a moron. this is about a relationship that makes him feel he is losing himself

"I watch myself,
Walk away,
A foreign spirit,
took my place.

An empty stare,
its eyes are dull,
So my essence, it's riding my pulse."

you are going to try to argue that the next line is about him smoking something, when in reality its his metaphor for ABRACADABRA, POOF, HE IS GONE, HE LOST HIMSELF

"It's all I've wan-
ted now I guess I've got it.
Why it happened, I don't know,
Hope this doesn't last forever."
that should explain to you that he is over losing himself in this relationship and hopes it ends...

the only drug this could apply to is a relationship, dumbfuck
