The Faint Lyrics
From their beginnings as a low-fi pop band releasing
cassettes to the release of their highly anticipated,
electronically charged new Danse Macabre album, The Faint
have always been a band which is in constant evolution.
The Faint are from the currently thriving Omaha music
scene. Featuring current members Todd Baechle (vocals,
synthesizer), Clark Baechle (drums), and Joel Petersen
(bass) they began by opening coffee house shows for various
singer songwriters in 1994, utilizing an off-beat
hodgepodge of folk and lo-fi. Performing More...

------ About the song Agenda Suicide performed by The Faint
I get what Todd Fink is trying to sing about. There is a grind to life and things at a cost, no doubt. Kind of a "saving private Ryan" story. A story about making your life count for something. I can get behind that. The part I have concerns about is this Non-sense about the futility of a chosen path. Apparently also includes an insensitive population serving their live s for no good. IMOP/OPED; What ever path you chose or are stuck with [in some unfortunate way] "We" make our lives count minute by minute. There are always opportunities even in troubled times to redeem things in some way. Oppression of the human race is NOT legal. I am saying that having tasks to accomplish through out the day is not a shameful endeavor. Even in the roughest of circumstances life is still worth the cost. At least the song leaves the door open for homo-sapiens to choose whatevA, I would think (if I got it right off the re-mix) a "better" existence. ------ About the song Ballad Of A Paralysed Citizen performed by The Faint
Kinda makes me sad. Think about it. If you did something trying to do the right thing and become paralyzed from the waist down and then did out the kid that you were trying to save....never was drowning. It was a joke to his friends? Maybe his parents. That is shitty. I guess I get it bc this guys luck seems about as good as mine. Suuucky. Love the faint tho. Entertaining at times. Sad at others. Confusing other times...but if you listen again...you'll get it. Better topics than waaaaa waaaa my woman left me. I want to die. Or up to biatch

I love this song; not only does it have a truly fierce hook, but the lyrics really pull the music out into the light and make the melody even more addictive.
That and it's fantastically catty.
You go, Faint.

------ About the song I Disappear performed by The Faint
"swing" no one writes aboutdrugs really, youre a moron. this is about a relationship that makes him feel he is losing himself
"I watch myself,
Walk away,
A foreign spirit,
took my place.
An empty stare,
its eyes are dull,
So my essence, it's riding my pulse."
you are going to try to argue that the next line is about him smoking something, when in reality its his metaphor for ABRACADABRA, POOF, HE IS GONE, HE LOST HIMSELF
"It's all I've wan-
ted now I guess I've got it.
Why it happened, I don't know,
Hope this doesn't last forever."
that should explain to you that he is over losing himself in this relationship and hopes it ends...
the only drug this could apply to is a relationship, dumbfuck

------ About the song Agenda Suicide performed by The Faint
NOT "cats shadow", but rather "cast shadow"
NOT "drugs work hard before they die", but rather "DRONES work hard before they die"
there is also rumor that a few times the word "hole" is substituted for "home" (the drones work hard before they die, and FILL THOSE PRETTY LITTLE HOLES"), but this discrepency is probably due to live VS recorded performance.
the band is phenominal, and the production is perfect. so glad they never "made it" on the radio.

I really like this song. What's best about it is that the lyrics mean something, not just a bunch of crap that doesn't mean anything.

------ About the song I Disappear performed by The Faint
I think that this is the only song that really comes out and talks about drugs in a way that the community surrounding The Faint and the fanbase can understand.
The only thing is, the way in which it is written makes the drug in question ambiguous. It could be so many different things.
