Through more than 20 extravagant years and 20 extraordinary
albums The Cure have done it all in their own unmistakable
way. Free, independent, wilful, unconfined, the band have
spent most of their career creating and exploring in the
strange places where the worlds of mainstream and
alternative collide. They have developed a range of
uniquely distinctive sounds and styles, and in the process
created as great a body of contemporary music as you could
wish to hear.
With over 27 million albums sold, The Cure's achievements
on every level have been incredible. Yet whereas even the
most creative of bands both past and present have
invariably completed their best work during 'the early
years', The Cure have continued to flourish and grow with
every release, continual More...

Review about The Cure
The story of my life | Reviewer: nihcap
------ About the song Disintegration performed by The Cure
This is a beautiful but melancholic song. This song seems to be written after taking a look to my lonely life: I really miss the kiss of treachery of all of whom I called friends, but in all the multiple occasions they left me plenty of "babies" (beautiful memories and nostalgias)… I always knew that everything would finish so, but never admitted it. They never came back.
This song is in my mind over and over and over especially in these days, in which I feel that the most special girl I ever might know is going away soon, leaving an enormous emptiness in my solitary shattered heart. I feel I'm disintegrating... I'll miss you Yully!!!
Sorry for misplaced words: I can't see because of tears.
love the layering of sounds. | Reviewer: Commissioner.
------ About the song Jupiter Crash performed by The Cure
I really love this song, it begins with the sound of the sea, and a palming of a percussionist's taborine. The bass/guitar/6 string bass and keys start up in unision, at 0:56 Simon flows up the scale (sounds to me like a gibson thunderbird through ampeg tube)it gives me a uplifting smile cuz i play it so loud, and curious repeat of it.
Robert sings these words beuitifuly, thoughts of him, and thought and words of her. it makes me feel it mighta been the first time, you know. ghost echo's, nice touch.

------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
Hmm... it's CLEARLY not a lullaby; actually, this song is intended to be THE OPPOSITE of a lullaby (for those who are surprise for the ronic title)... but, as many of you has said, I really like this song ^^, even with the twisted lyrics, it's mellow: the strings, the whispered voice, the soft beat... it's kinda beautiful :)

Musical Guinness | Reviewer: Mr. X
------ About the song More Than This performed by The Cure
Robert Smith will go down in history as musical Guinness. From the “3 imaginary Boys” until now he never seems to stop surprising his fans. Great lyrics and music. Disintegration is the peak of the Cure impressive resume. One of the all time greatest albums.
Many songs like “Cold”, “Babble”, “more than this”; “2late” would have been major hits but ended up as “B-side or special releases. Great man, great music….Thank you Robert
brilliantly haunting. | Reviewer: Laurenn.
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
I think this song is brilliant.
It creates the sense of suspense with the string instruments and the quiet whispers of Robert's voice.
I could listen to this song over and over again.
I also think it is brilliant in the fact that it is called "Lullaby" but is clearly not a lullaby and is probably more a nightmare.
I don't think there is any hidden meaning, I just think Robert, being the creatively creepy man he is, had a nightmare one night and decided to write a song about it. And it turned out beautifully.
haunts you with his lullaby | Reviewer: greenkween
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
This song is about nightmares and was called Lullaby cos I guess Robert Smith just wanted to be ironic.
Regardless, it's an amazing, timeless, haunting song that you don't need need to know the "hidden meaning" -- or whatever other people are trying to decipher -- to enjoy this song.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! | Reviewer: Christal
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
I have no comment on what the song is about because none of us really have any way of knowing what the intentions are but I just plain love this song. lyrics aside smiths voice and the string instruments and tempo are almost sexy. Its old but still current. I'm planning a huge half sleeve tattoo based on this song, a big window with creepy tree outlines in the moonlight and a person covered up to their nose in bed and a large looming spider with "candy striped legs". Lots of purples and blues. I cant wait!

------ About the album Disintegration performed by The Cure
One of, if not the best album, The Cure has ever released. One only has to lie down on the floor, lights off and listening to the album with the volume turned up, through your earphones to appreaciate it's excelent awe inspiring composition.
Wonderful | Reviewer: Laura
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
I think this is one of the greatest songs of one of the greatest bands in the whole world.
The way in which Robert whispers some words....the tension it creates...I think this song is beautifully dark and mysterious.
And here, in Argentina, there´s a beautiful version made by a group called Cabezones.
Genius | Reviewer: Monkie
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
So... this song is DEFF not suppose to be a lullaby.
In my opinion... It seems that the Spiderman is a girl or boy [w/e your preference], who preys on him.
Like a tease.
She's got him wrapped around her finger and is a heartbreaker.
Kinda like the song 'Man-Eater'-
'Ohhh, here she comes. Watch out boy, she'll chew you up'.
Whatever the meaning... Its a great song with a good melody.
And how many songs do you hear these days that have titles that don't even relate to the song?... TOO many.
Don't take things so literal, guys.
Sugar Girl | Reviewer: Tomizaky
------ About the song Sugar Girl performed by The Cure
Oh i wish i could find it funny
You laughing like that
But instead i change into a rage
And run around
Without a face...
So i wish i could find it funny
When you never came back
But i don't suppose i'll ever know
The how to keep you
Goodbye Sugar Girl
Goodbye Sugar Girl
the point | Reviewer: <3Ganine(kid)<3
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
the point is the song is great...a lot of people love this song for several reasons...yeah, it's catchy and it's osm...the words are great aswell.....some words have two meanings and more...you may never really know the meanings and you can asume all you want...you like it for different reasons and you can argue all you want...but in the end it all comes down to the actual point...and the point is that this song is freaking osm...
great song | Reviewer: moo
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
the melody to this song is brilliant, however, it is not a lullaby whatsoever. My guess is it's about someones father sexually abusing them before they're expected to sleep. If you seek comfort in this song you are clearly perverted.

One of their saddest songs but yet one of the most beautiful ones... Makes me shed a tears, that's what I love about the Cure - how Robert Smith with singing can move, and touch even hidden heart...
Yay! | Reviewer: Zoe
------ About the song Lullaby performed by The Cure
I love this song! Everyone is whining that 'it's a scary song!' and that 'it's not a lullaby!' But that completely bull shit. I would love this song as a lullaby. And, this song isn't REALLY a lullaby! Just because of the tittle doesn't make it that!
Going away on a strange day | Reviewer: Loretta Donnelly
------ About the song A Strange Day performed by The Cure
My favorite ' Cure song. Funny too, because I was listening to it in 1988 on a day when I had to move to another location. It was a very strange day. Was supposed to be a summer day, but it was so windy and cold. Clouds and sun kept alternating. Really interesting. Love the song.
