One of the most popular Darkwave bands on the planet, the
Crüxshadows started in the early 1990's in a little town in
North Florida. Numerous lineup changes over the years have
not slowed down the quartet. Touring the United States
extensively from Coast to Coast, they have played hundreds
of shows to American Audiences in the last few years. In
the Spring of 2001, the Crüxshadows began touring Europe
and have since played over 75 shows abroad, in countries
like Norway, Scotland, Ireland, England, Belgium, The
Netherlands, Poland, More...

This song... I'm not sure if it was the first but Cruxshadows that I heard, but it is one that really got my attention. The lyrics are amazing; all things I truly believe in within my heart. It's become my 'theme song.' Musically, it is a Cruxshadows master, but, all their songs that I've heard are amazing... Paying attention to their lyrics, everyone tells a story of some kind, but this one tells not just a story, but a message to all humankind:

Do not injustice to another
Defend the weak & innocent
Let truth & honor always guide you
Let courage find a life within
Stand up when no one else is willing
Act not in hatred or in spite
Be to this world as a perfect knight
Even if it means your life...

I'm glad to know there is still good music in this world. I'd become so frustrated with all the bands sounding so similar and all the songs being about the same things.
I have heard the Cruxshadows before, but I had never really given them a chance until recently, and I'm so glad I did.
Their music, and this song especially, is a fresh breath of air in a world that seems to have forgotten what true music sounds like.
I can't really believe I've gone so long listening to the mainstream music I have been for so long.

This is my special song now; it totally speaks to my experiences with someone I love. The Cruxshadows are an amazing little band; I wish more Christians like myself wouldn't be quick to judge them because of their 'goth' styling.
