I enjoyed the song with Blaze on the album thats true, However in the end I always find my self returning to bruces live effort in Rock In Rio of this song.
Lord of the flies is a different matter entierly tho.

I totally agree that Blaze was underestimated, he was a great singer, and so is Bruce. If Blaze weren't a good singer Steve would never have let him join the band and then stay for several years and 2 amazing albums. This song is just so beautiful and also got a deep meaning - FREEDOM. Its one of my favourite Maiden songs, since both the instrumental part and lyrics is just awesome. If its Blaze's studio version, or Bruce singing it live dont matter to much, both do the song very well, and I wouldn't prefer any of them in front of the other. UP THE IRONS from Sweden...\m/

Such a beautiful Song...
It's a great change from Bruces Singing style.
Such a peaceful and nice Intro, the Keyboards in this Album and this Song where amazing.
Blaze Bayley never got the respect he deserved, he did an amazing job on both Albums.
This is in my top 10-Favourite Iron Maiden Songs.
