The Chemical Brothers Lyrics
Since they first met a decade ago, the Chemical Brothers
have been on a mission. Their aims: to find the sounds no
one had heard before, to push their music as far as it will
go, to make each record fresher and more exciting than the
last. And from "Song To The Siren" in 1992 to the
brain-blitzing mutant psychedelia of their third album,
Surrender, that's what they've done. On the way they've
invented (and transcended) big beat, toured the globe,
remixed the world and his brother, soundtracked some of the
messier nights out of the More...

------ About the song Galvanize performed by The Chemical Brothers
I'm not a hardcore fan of the Chemical Brothers-but this is definitely an amazing song of theirs! I remember first hearing it at a restaurant when I was 10, and ever since I've been looking for the song-and I found it! Amazing how it just gets people moving like the lyrics imply-Don't watch the world move, don't sulk around and don't mope, but move yourself!
AND PUSH THAT BUTTON!
Acid Test Origins | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song The Test performed by The Chemical Brothers
The original 'Acid Test' had nothing to do with acid, it was from the California Gold Rush in the second half of the 19th century. Gold doesn't react to most acids, but does dissolve in a mixture of hydrochloric and nitric acid(s).
To confirm that a find was real gold it was given 'the acid test'.

------ About the song The Test performed by The Chemical Brothers
An 'acid test' determined whether someone could cope with the psychological demands of taking LSD. But in this case, I hear this as the acid test of life itself. I don't think it refers to drug use at all.

------ About the song One Too Many Mornings performed by The Chemical Brothers
It is true that many people hear so many different things, but to me the female voice says " Dear you may go on" and the male voice says " Please Stop hiding you have control. That's my opinion.

------ About the song The Test performed by The Chemical Brothers
It might not be so much as the "acid test" specifically, so much as a journey through a hallucinogenic experience in general. Seeing things you've done before in a new light, while seeing the other things in life you haven't before, then recognizing that your trip will fade-- and learning to accept life as a whole, in a relative, comparative way, depending on one's past and hopeful future. I think the term "acid test" was thrown in there as a sort of metaphor to each and every trip, to simulate the feeling of whatever drug it may be referring to.
Or, in a sober context (if possible), feeling like your life is out of control and finding serenity in the least likely place possible.
The music video for this song is actually really great. I suggest any fans of this song check it out asap.

------ About the song The Test performed by The Chemical Brothers
"The Acid Tests were a series of psychedelic parties held by Ken Kesey in the San Francisco Bay Area during the mid 1960s, centered entirely around the use, experimentation, and advocacy of LSD, also known as 'acid.'
The name 'Acid Test' was coined by Kesey, after the term 'acid test' used by gold miners in the 1850s. He advertised the parties with posters that read, 'Can YOU Pass The Acid Test?', and the name was later popularized in Tom Wolfe's 1968 book, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. Musical performances by the Grateful Dead were commonplace, along with black lights, strobe lights, and fluorescent paint. The Acid Tests are notable for their influence on the LSD-based counterculture of the San Francisco area and subsequent transition from the beat generation to the hippie movement."

------ About the song One Too Many Mornings performed by The Chemical Brothers
I don't know if I have a long-version or something like that (??) because... in the very and, in the final beats, you can CLEARLY hear "Please stop hiding. You have control" male voice and the music comes to its final pitch. Reading these 2 previews reviews makes me think that this final verse is a "response" to the female voice.
Tell me what you think! Get the original CD!!! Not SP...
I'm curious - am I hearing voices that don't exist in one music since I bought the CD more than 10 years ago?!
