It's refreshing to hear someone actually have faith in something, but not beat you over the head with it. The "smarter" we get, the larger the divide gets between our faith and humanity. I, personally, would rather put my faith in the unknown than what we have become. Good work, Guys.

I wish more people would hear this song- truthfully, I discovered it because it was on the Never Back Down soundtrack. But it's a very good song, and happens to say things in my life that I couldn't quite word so well. Simply put, I know exactly what the feeling of this song is... don't ya love it when that happens?

I am 40 and was a teenager in High School and College in the 80's. This references to the summer of 69 and Cherry Valance really hit home for me. Our expectations of life were shaped in so many ways by popular music and the media. And it all seemed like it would work out and we'd be happy. My uncle is in jail...for the fourth time. Hes a meth addict. I've never seen him when he was clean. One time, he was so doped up, my Mom kicked him out of the house. When I heard this song, I started to cry because "I am so homesick now for someone that I never knew". This song really speaks to me. Love the Bravery.

I recently seen the Bravery in concert ( they were opening up for Green Day)and they blew me away I had heard some of their stuff but hadnt paid it much attention but in concert they were so raw and fresh and I really connected to their lyrics overall they are a very promising alternative band

definitely a great song! by far my fav song by the bravery, few others that do deserve mention, but ill let the other fans find those ^-^ as for the fuck up, i likewise believe it adds so much more to the song because it helps yo grasp that sense of frustration by the speaker, and if your not mature enough to accept a cuss word when used in an artistic fashion, then that just proves your ignorance
