Queens Of the Stone Age The Blood Is Love Lyrics

Last updated: 07/26/2012 11:42:22 AM

I saw you, in a way
Beyond figure out
These lines of life have been drawn... and can't be removed
Our eyes is all it took to know

Open up your eyes
Deep blue, glassy lake
and swim 'till water and sky
Now are one, out of two
Oh, my bloodshot eyes

Open up your mouth
Touch your lips to mine
That we may make a kiss that can pierce through death & survive
Your words have branded my mind

Still i hold your hand
Wrapped as if a ring
We of flesh and blood are only carrying
It's so hard to
Well, you know

The seed waits for the reaper to sew
Every breath an art
The dignity to learn it can strain & break your heart
Take all your pieces home
You ask when you're alone, "what is love?"
The blood is love...

The genius of Homme's lyrics and the music that was written for this song just cements how amazing QOTSA are. The subtle harmony at the end just adds to the, almost haunted feel of the song, for want of a better word. I love QOTSA and their music!!! QOTSA LIVE ON!

I couldnt of said it any better. Qotsa is the most interesting band i have ever listened to & homme never disapoints w\ his guitar riffs. Just when i thought that it was all downhill after songs for the deaf, they pull this out somehow. after era vulgaris, homme decides to be in a 3rd band & makes the tcv album! The best album of all time (after dark side of the moon)in my book.

Legendary. You can easily hear how vast musical imaginations these guys have, and how much experience they've got in writing music. And how much they enjoy to play. You don't even have to listen to it and it still sounds fantastic :D It's just got that hypnotic THE-factor that makes me want to listen to it over and over again. Just like most QOTSA songs. LOL what a band.
