The Black Dahlia Murder Lyrics

From the complete waste of earth that is Detroit, Michigan,
comes The Black Dahlia Murder. A venomous melodic death
metal outfit named after the brutal unsolved slaying of
temptress Elizabeth Short. Drawing influence from
forefathers such as At the Gates, Dissection and Carcass,
The Black Dahlia Murder has upped the speed and intensity
of the style into a gore-soaked whirlwind all their own.
They seeminglessly twist from destructively fast blast
beats to beautiful and dark melodic textures, giving a
soundtrack to the horror and More...

Review about The Black Dahlia Murder songs
sinister song lyrics can be great, but not this time | Reviewer: Jean
------ About the song What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

I just want too say that the song is really cool when you just listen to it. but the lyrics is somehow dissapointing. It appears capricious. the verses in the song doesn't make sense when you put them together. I feel like the componist has just aimlessly thrown together all the scary stuff he could think of...

Blood Mine | Reviewer: Alejandro Uriarte
------ About the song Blood Mine performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

This to me seems a'lot like reptilian theory. Basically it revolves around "superior beings" feasting and harvesting humans. Made inferior in mind and soul by subtle manipulation of how we should act.

It's obvious what this it's about. But what people don't realize is the old school zombie style used in these songs. Where the dead don't just rise by themselves; they are controlled by a necromancer. These are the things I like about his songs. I used to fantasize about being a necromancer also when I was a kid.

Sick as fuck | Reviewer: Jordan
------ About the song Miscarriage performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

To me this song is about women and how they fuck us over, " a knife for every spine of every man". They are all whores who deserve only to be fucked and forgotten, women have no class anymore. I shouldn't even call them women they are just girls. Not all of them are succubus cunts but I'd say about 95% of females ages 16 to 30 are. Sorry not trying to rant but fuck I hate the head games they play, it's bullshit! Haha

Cosmic Horror | Reviewer: ALex
------ About the song Thy Horror Cosmic performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

Of course, just as I read the title of this song I immediatly thought it was about the Cthulhu mythos. And now that I see the lyrics (since I find it hard to understand growls myself), it is indeed. Awesome mythos. Awesome lyrics.

my guess on what their talking about | Reviewer: CletustheFetus
------ About the song Hymn For The Wretched performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

i think its about demons or ghosts. "we are the enemy praying for your certain death. we are what was, will be forevermore
in the stillest hours we awaken, enshrouded in the dark" in many stories you hear about the ghostly entity trying to convince people to kill themselves to join them, so i think thats what he means by "praying for your certain death" also "will we are what was, will be forevermore" could mean the spirits dead and is now there for ever (pretty self explanatory) and "in the stillest hours we awaken" the most still time people consider during the night is 3 AM cus most people are in bed by than, but 3 am is also coincidentally considered the time that Spirits and demons are most active.

------ About the song Thy Horror Cosmic performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

I belive the phrase "oh great gold one, i scream for your return" is actually "oh great OLD one, I scream for your return".

I do not have the lyric book and therefore cannot confirm this, but I believe it to be so because this song is about the H.P. Lovecraft works based on Cthulhu and the Old Ones.

Sweet Song | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Contagion performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

Sounds like a song about some sort of virus that makes people infuriated, kinda like zombies I guess. But the best part about the song is the solo and the backing riff. So catchy, like all of BDM songs.

------ About the song Closed Casket Requiem performed by The Black Dahlia Murder

this song seems to me to be about loving someone alot but longing murder them and then at the end when it says"the euphoric act of suicide" leads me to believe that he's talking about loving himself and longing to be dead. that's my interpretation of the song but the song is very awesome! the guitar is beautifully done in this song
