I am older (from before rock and roll) I have discovered how to find songs on my wife's computer and save them. I like classical and bad,bad rock and roll. Not much for ballads. This song however, I play at least twice a week. The music beat, the lyrics, the incredible backup all come together to make a classic rememberance. I like this song.

This is one of the Greatest songs by an Underrated band that started three successful careers. John Waite with The Babys doing Isn't It Time is a classic I was not born yet when the song came out. I still think it's a great song.And I am 32 years old for the record.

I wanted to say thank you for one hell of a hook in the chourus. I was just thinking how the structure of the song reminded me of the Whitfield penned "I'm losing you" recorded by the Temptations and then I read your words and memories about Ray and your song and just smiled when you both thought it would be a great song for the Temptations.

This is one of those wonderful, singular songs that will always make you remember in your life when it was coming out. I was tired of the simplistic repetitiously phrased songs, and this had one of those deliberately constructed juxtapositions of main and alternating voiced repartees. A favorite always….

As one of the uncredited writers of this song I'd like to say thanks for the kind words. I still remember the night that Ray Kennedy and I wrote this song about his then new love, a beautiful French lady. It took us 5 years to get it cut but Ron Nevison and The Babys did a fabulous job. We kinda though we had a Temptations cut at the time but couldn't get it past their producer.
