Review about Welcome To Bangkok so so so good | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/22/09
for the longest time i thought that the lyrics at the beginning were spoken in a different language. hence why i'm on this website haha.
but yeah, this song is incredible. i saw them play it live, and the crowd got so into it. they opened with this song actually, and it's one of my alltime favourites. quite a surprise, seeing as i expected them to open with something from daisy. they never disappoint.

This is by far one of my favorite tracks on The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. Part of what makes it so incredible is that it does'nt even need lyrics, thats just how powerful the instrumental is. Rarely, anymore, do you come across an artist or a group of artists that can convey so much emotion and so much thought by saying little to nothing. It's truly a work of art.
brilliant fucking song, very complex music wise and interesting to hear. love to see it live one day, but australia's shit and i doubt brand new will coem to perth anytime soon. hopefully they won't have broken up by the time i get to the states.
there's a fair bit more to the song then just lyrics, i think if you're only gonna listen to hear someone's voice then it was a waste of time giving you ears. watch ashley simpson lip sync or something.
i'm not sure if jesse [lead singer] is actually saying something in the background as the instrumental kicks off, or if he's just generally screaming and yelling. you can hear his voice a lot better near the end of the song. it does sound like two or three different voices as opposed to one though.
Busted. The thought ran through his mind and slammed directly into a wall of a serious headache. He rubbed his temple, which was sticky with either blood or sap, and knew he was screwed. He wasn't particularly worried about the head wound, sure it hurt like hell, but how do you explain that you had been stalking one of your own members? Or that you had just witnessed him making a deal with enough coke to have the entire gang at Devante's mercy if word ever got out. He was tempted to slap Bligh up the head and ask him if he was on the drugs.
“Ruki,” Bligh's smooth voice sounded. “what’s a guy like you doing in a place like this?” Ruki couldn't help but blush slightly, pulling playfully at the braids streaming down his shoulders. He smiled sheepishly, Ruki had a thing for being cute, thanks to Aki, his quieter, shyer personality. He brushed another piece of tree bark from his abnormally bright blonde hair before turning his gaze back to the expectant Bligh. "I could ask you the same thing!" Ruki answered defensively, pushing himself off the ground and taking another step closer to the Knight.
He pointed his finger only an inch away from Bligh's button nose. He didn't know how Bligh reacted to the invasion of personal space, but he supposed he was about to find out. He wanted to scream at Bligh for almost getting himself in massive trouble...but he couldn't. He was friends with Bligh, they could've been more if the boy would just admit his feelings for Ruki, but Ruki knew he had a snow-balls chance in hell on winning that fight. Besides, he was happy as he was with Seth...even if it was essentially one-sided. The one side being Ruki. He honestly didn't know how the Star Bishop felt about him.
He turned back to Bligh with anger flashing in his eyes. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Ruki asked, his voice soft with the anger he couldn't portray correctly. He still cared about Bligh, one way or another. He wanted to haul the boy off by his ear, but he knew the guy might just shoot him.

This is my favorite song off the album, a lot of bands can't hold music without lyrics, but this song is just amazing.
The first time i heard this song, didnt think too much of it, then i listened to the complexities, and i saw how good it really was...

this song is so good rock out to. i saw brand new play it live and it was a life changing experience. there was like 8 guys on stage all just making as much noise as they could. one guy was just banging a cymbal the whole time. and the maniacal laughing in the background of the song is creepy. i love it.

this song is sooo weird, i downloaded it thinkin it would be amazing but it was just random, there are no real lyrics to it, its just cool music in the begining but then turns into scribbled up sounds, i like the music but it gets annoyin after a bit, so watev it was kinda a waste of a download.
