Its about a girl dating some other guy and getting all dolled up for him, but jesse is the only one who sees her for her. And he tells her he's pissed at what shes doing, thats why he's pulling at her insides all night

I believe it started with seventy times seven was written when jesses girl cheated on him with John from tbs, then Adam wrote there is no I in team and this was a responce to that, also the song mix tape is also a reply when it talks about " I bet you 20$ no one has ever seen you without make up your always made up" and " I hatethat yu don't care about brand new or me" also to continue with the feud Adam dated johns sister and cheated on her so John and his sister with another guy started straylight run, it is said that John was just trying to show Jesse that his girl was a whore, guess he was right. Guess Jesse was really in love

There's no "I" in team was a response to seventy times seven, which came out after this song. Jesse Lacey, the lead singer of Brand New used to be in Taking Bsck Sunday. Jesse's ex- girlfriend cheated on him with a member of the band TBS. Jesse used to be bestfriend's with him, until this. He then made his own band. If you ever listen to the song Seventy times seven, it'll explain the situation more. i loveee brand new though.

Nah. This came out before No I In Team.
In No I In Team, he says "Best friends means I pulled the trigger." saying he chose to 'fire the bullet' with the bullet being their friendship. So he's saying he's throwing their friendship out. Ya dig?

i believe this song was given a response by taking back sunday called "there's no 'i' in team" due to issues over a girl with members of both bands. it goes to show that no matter what genre, everyone's got beef with somebody.
