It's completely dfferent from Almost Here but it shows the band's grow. They have a much older sound and seem to have broken away form the typical alternative-emo sound that most bands signed by Fueled By Ramen Records have. Both of The Academy Is...'s albums are amazing and I can't wait for their new album Fast Times at Barrington High, coming out August 19th, 2008. It's somewhat of a solid album, the top five songs are: Neighbors, LAX to O'Hare, Same Blood, Bulls In Brooklyn, and Everything We Had. Many of the other album's songs aren't very memorable. If you liked the Academy Is... before, I'd suggest you borrow this CD from a friend and listen to it before you buy it yourself. If you didnt like the Academy Is... before, I wouldn't bother listening to the CD. It's an okay CD I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. Review The Album Santi | |
