Epilogue: Early 1990's Helsinki, Finland. Five guys in
Ramones-like black leather jackets have a band called THE
69 EYES. They are VERY loud: Iggy & The Stooges,
Motörhead etc. Signed to the indie label Gaga Goodies.
Records, tours; even in Sweden, U.K. and Italy; lots of
chaos, broken hearts and distortion.
Reputation goes before the band. Fan club in Japan. Dark
industrial rock version of Blondie's "Call Me".
More tours. More chaos. No mercy.
"WASTING THE DAWN" was The 69 Eyes's first international
release on ROADRUNNER RECORDS. In 1999 with its unique
concept of Gothic melancholy mixed with hi-energy
rock'n'roll roots of the band, the album not only brought
some long-waited fresh blood into the Gothic scene but also
launched a new term to the media: More...

------ About the song Brandon Lee performed by The 69 Eyes
I absolutely love this song. I saw the 69 Eyes in concert a week ago and they played this song. The whole audience was singing along to this song and you could just feel the magick that was brought into the room; the same kind of magick that I feel every single time I watch The Crow. RIP Brandon Lee.

------ About the song The Chair performed by The 69 Eyes
Very powerful song. It's definitely about his true love towards his girlfriend, but she isn't in love with him, she's only dreaming of love,he got aware of that and that's why he wants her to ''kick the chair'',leave him die and leave all behind...
U.K. or decay ? | Reviewer: jana
------ About the song Sister Of Charity performed by The 69 Eyes
Hello!
I`m not sure but I think it says "the decay of the West" instead of "the U.K. of the West". It makes more sense that way.
Regarding the part "the rule of Benedict", the band could also quite reasonably claim to possess psychic abilities, since it was written a couple of years before the election of pope Ratzinger, LOL.
Rock on,

------ About the song Wasting The Dawn performed by The 69 Eyes
"wasting the dawn" has such an effect on me that I cannot understand,if i hear it I instantly forget everything and feel as if i'm somewhere no one will ever find me. it's such a deep emotion I always end up crying at the second verse "been waiting for you for so long"
it's so sad maybe too sad but it's like an escape song y' know? it kinda relives your pain, but it always comes back...

------ About the song The Chair performed by The 69 Eyes
you can't be certain about the meaning of ANY song unless you actually wrote it dude... after analyzing the way every sentence was worded, it DOES sound more like a suicidal song than anything else, but that doesn't mean it can't apply to various other situations and/or emotions as well... it's pretty vague in terms of context if you ask me, but it's an amazing song in every way... everything just comes together perfectly on this one...

definitely an amazing song, touching themes that altough some people want/seems to ignore are part of us,in a deep poetic way.besides add to that an amazing voice and good music and you get absolution at least for the 4 minutes that the songs sounds...after that you deal with your devils again.

Before I heard the 'Framed In Blood' album, I was limited to 'Angels'. But after hearing Brandon Lee, I'm convinced that Jyrki is one of the most lyrically talented people I've ever encountered.

Wow, this song is too short just like Brandon Lee's life. There was so much that could've been. Too much was taken away. None the less, this is quite a nice song. 4 stars.
5 if Brandon was still alive.

------ About the song Velvet Touch performed by The 69 Eyes
One of my favourite songs from 69 eyes... It exists in 2 different versions. One on "Blessed be" and one on "framed in blod: The very blessed of..." of which the one on the best of cd is the more rocky one.. but the version on blessed be is more dark and Jyrkis veery deep voice is perfect for it.. and you gotta love lyrics about bloodsuckers :P Great track!
