That Crazy Feeling Lyrics - Kenny Rogers
Review The Song (1)
That crazy feeling
It’s not just the way you say hello whenever we should meet
That keeps my heart pounding like the ocean of the deep
But it’s got my heart a reeling, oh yes, I’ve got that crazy feeling.
It’s not just the way you kiss me with that twinkle in your eye
That makes me want to love you and never say goodbye
But to me it’s appealing, oh yes, I’ve got that crazy feeling.
Who can explain that the way you look on my life
That makes me think about you all the time
Oh, who can explain that just what makes me know
Darling, I want you to have love and to hold.
Though it’s not just the way you comfort me when I feel blue and low
That makes me want to love you and never let you go
But it’s got my heart a reeling, oh yes, I’ve got that crazy feeling,
Oh yes, I’ve got that crazy feeling ...

Kenny Rogers first "hit" | Reviewer: Hot Rod | 1/6/2008
This was Kenny Rogers first solo single in 1958 after leaving his group that he formed in high school. This song was a #2 "hit" in Houston, Texas, (though it never charted nationally).
It seemed Rogers was not destined to repeat this early success, with follow-up solo singles, such as "Here's That Rainy Day" all failing to break him to a wider market.
Rogers spent the next 10 years as a touring musician with groups such as the bobby doyle three and the new christies. Then in 1968 he broke through as front man of the first edition, the band that chalked up hits such as "Ruby", "Something’s Burning" and "Reuben James".
Rogers next shot at a solo career, following the groups split, was more successful. His 1977 hit "Lucille" was a world-wide hit, topping sales of nine million. This was the first of many huge sellers.
Anyway, back to this song "That Crazy Feeling". At the time, Rogers was not a country/pop singer, but a doo wop/jazz vocalist and this song testifies to that. Nevertheless it is a good song and no matter what style he was labeled as, there is a "Kenny Rogers stamp" on this (as there would be on his later -and bigger- hits).
Today, Kenny Rogers is a world renowned superstar, between 1968 & today he has charted more hit singles and albums than almost anyone in the world. This song was recorded at a time when he had a more modest career, but a decent song nevertheless.
