Texas was formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1986 by Johnny
McElhone, a veteran of the Scottish rock circuit who had
been a part of two groups, Hipsway and Altered Images.
Altered Images had considerable chart success in the U.S.
and the U.K. in the mid-1980s, while Hipsway didn't become
nearly so well known. Texas is comprised of McElhone, bass,
Eddie Campbell, keyboards, Ally McErlaine, guitar, Richard
Hynd, drums and Sharleen Spiteri, vocals and guitar. The
group made their performing debut as a band in March, 1988
at a local college in Glasgow. Texas took their name from
the 1985 Wim Wenders film, Paris, Texas, for which Ry
Cooder composed the soundtrack.
Their third album, Rick's Road, (1993) solidified the
band's U.S. following, though their debut album was More...

I really do wish lyrics these days made more sense...I mean the song sounds lovely in the credits of "Ever After" but the meaning is so lost and misleading to those who don't pay attention to the words...I've heard songs with much darker melodies use clever lyrics of life(versus these) and still somehow become rejected yet this song of beautiful melody speaks foolish morbid nonsense with obvious romantic intent and it makes the credits of a Cinderella movie. I guess this is where "emo music" began(I'd never want these words spoken over someone I loved yet with all the melody who would notice?).

I also heard it on Everafter as the credits rolled. Such a beautiful song! Nice melody, good words and excellent voice that fits the song.
I really love this song, I think ive heard it in the ending credits of Ever After-A Cinderella Story. The song is really touching and I really love it, just wanting to let someone know!
