Texas was formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1986 by Johnny
McElhone, a veteran of the Scottish rock circuit who had
been a part of two groups, Hipsway and Altered Images.
Altered Images had considerable chart success in the U.S.
and the U.K. in the mid-1980s, while Hipsway didn't become
nearly so well known. Texas is comprised of McElhone, bass,
Eddie Campbell, keyboards, Ally McErlaine, guitar, Richard
Hynd, drums and Sharleen Spiteri, vocals and guitar. The

The song was used in the movie "Love Actually" and was published on the sound track. I loved the song when I heard it in the movie even though I couldn't understand all the words. I included it in a mix of "most romantic songs ever" because whatever the words were, the song was about the desperation of loving someone so much that you are lost if they do not love you back. The words suggest that. The words, the vocal, the music all drive the sense of being lost in the love for another.
