Tearjerker Lyrics - Korn
Review The Song (36)
Well I wish there was someone
Well I wish there was someone to love me
When I used to be someone
and I knew there was someone that loved me
as I sit here frozen alone
even ghosts get tired and go home
as they crawl back under the stones
And I wish there was something
please tell me there's something better
and I wish there was something more than this
Saturated loneliness
and I wish I could feel it
and I wish I could steal it
abduct it, corrupt it
but I never can, it's just
Saturated loneliness
Does the silence get lonely
Does the silence get lonely
Who knows?
I've been hearing it tell me
I've been hearing it tell me, "go home"
'cause the freaks are playing tonight
they packed up and turned out the lights
And I wish there was something
please tell me theres something better
and I wish there was something more than this
Saturated loneliness
and I wish I could feel it
and I wish I could steal it
abduct it, corrupt it
but I never can, it's just
saturated loneliness
and the bathwaters cold
and this life's getting old
and I wish I could feel it
and I wish I could feel it
and I wish I could steal it
abduct it, corrupt it
and I wish I could feel it
and I wish I could steal it
and I wish I could feel it
abduct it, corrupt it
but I never can,
I never can
never can
never can
never can
Well I wish there was someone to love me
When I used to be someone
and I knew there was someone that loved me
as I sit here frozen alone
even ghosts get tired and go home
as they crawl back under the stones
And I wish there was something
please tell me there's something better
and I wish there was something more than this
Saturated loneliness
and I wish I could feel it
and I wish I could steal it
abduct it, corrupt it
but I never can, it's just
Saturated loneliness

Does the silence get lonely

My feeling for this | Reviewer: Marie Nicole Youngs | 4/24/13
Hi everyone.I may only be 11, but this song reminds me of my own life. I've had a lot of stuff in my life go on... (step-father abuses me, living with my grandparents, ALMOST COMMITING SUICIDE, might be bipolar, ect.)and when I hear this song I let out my feelings and (possibly) sing along. This song gives me much centimental feelings. (BTW NO MORE BAND WARS!!ITS GETTING ANNOYING!!) Sorry I wasted your time with this LOOOONNG comment. (which you probably stopped reading quite a while ago.) I just needed to express my feeling for this song. :3 Its a good one

KoRn mean so much to me, and it just kills me when people question my music taste and discriminate against me for it...Its songs like these that make me feel like I have more reasons to want to live and not feel so alone in the world...and especially in my country, everything is so mainstream, this song helps me escape from that... Lastly just wanted to say Korn are the best!

What are you guys, 9? starting to feel something about music? or are you just retarded? or both?
Slipknot isnt better than Korn
Korn isnt better than Slipknot
They are both amazingly good, and have different styles, you cant compare their music, their unique, and stand for themselves. Its like trying to say Family guy isw better than a documentery. There different categories.
There are different opinions, but thinking your music is better completely because YOU like it, then just grow a set of balls, grow up, and always remember, no-one gives a fuck about what you think

I recently discovered this song and im in love. I've always been somewhat of a Korn fan, but this song is a totally different sound and it's hauntingly beautiful. The vocals, lyrics, and music all definitely touch a nerve.
*wonders if there is as much about Korn on the Slipknot songs*
Let's Focus on the Topic at Hand | Reviewer: Stephanie | 9/14/10
Why is Slipknot even in this discussion? Come on people, let's focus on Jon, Korn, the schizophrenia and the beauty and sadness on the song. I can relate to this song in a way that half the people that hear it couldn't even comprehend. "Does the silence get lonely? Who knows?". Jon is schizophrenic/bipolar, I hear the chatter too. "I've been hearing it tell me, go home". Kill yourself in other words, sorry I hate to be grim. The voices are mean 9 times out of 10, not like the movies where they glamorize schizophrenia. I'm sure some of you understand, because Jon actually hits a good range of audience with this song.
awesome song! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/6/10
First with the sing.
I always loved KoRn and I still do and this song is no exeption. It's great as almost all the other KoRn songs I've heard and their newest album is awesome! Good they went back to the Old Skool KoRn, even thou I liked the other stuff too. :-) It's awesome and I liked every single song in it. Except Ubet-Time, but that was kinda of an intro, so I don't think it counts as much, so... whatever. This song is great!
And I see yet again, another Slipknot vs. KoRn war... why? I don't know. And you both are calling eachother stupid for liking the band they happen to like. Well, you are both right. Bot hof you are stupid. But not for liking KoRn or Slipknot, but for starting a war about it. The one that listens to Slipknot propably has been doing so for a long time, so what makes you think that your whining will change his opinion? And the same other way around. And if you do not like KoRn, get away from these lyrics. You are both dumbasses, but that's ok... I am too. Just... keep your wars somewhere else.
tearjerker | Reviewer: April | 2/15/10
I listen to this song every night, and it seems that what seems to reach me maybe even more than the lyrics is the background music. The song, as a whole, holds a very haunting, depressed feel to it. (yet there is a hint of hope in there, like he could get away)
From the slow tempo, to the way he holds a note, this song speaks to me emotionally in every way.
yaaap it does matter | Reviewer: German | 4/4/09
its good for people like me that dont understand everythink of english musik an they can google the songs/lyrics to understood(?) what they are really singing :D sry for my english its sooooo bad :(
Does it really matter? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/19/09
I ask you all... does it matter what KoRn is? Does it matter at all? When I think KoRn, I think of men pouring their souls into a work of music. When I think of Slipknot, or any other band, the same things come to mind.
Music should not be characterized. It should be listened to, loved, sung and used as an emotional outlet, not as a source of debate. And to put your squabbles to an end, if you can't write and play a song better than any band, than you have no grounds to say that they suck. You might not like them, but that is your personal opinion.
On further note, this song is fucking amazing.
The Facts | Reviewer: N. O. Nimus | 12/18/08
1. Korn is metal. Sub-genre: Nu-Metal.
2. Nu-Metal is metal. It just isn't original metal. Music evolves.
3. Slipknot falls under the categories of Thrash Metal and possibly Speed Metal.
4. Slipknot has a very unique sound. So does Korn.
Slipknot requires 9 band members to make their music.
Korn uses about 4.
Their lead singers are both fairly talented, but usually choose a grungier, more harsh voice due to the fact that they perform Metal.
As for lyrics, most of Slipknot's generally follow a very aggressive tone and feature themes such as darkness, nihilism, anger, disaffection, lust, misanthropy and psychosis.
Korn's feature hatred, rebellion, hopelessness, lust, confusion, but they occasionally release more party-type songs. They have more variety,
but both bands are simliar in these respects.

THE SONG:
Tearjerker is just that: a tearjerker.
It is a rare KoRn ballad. It uses deep synth tones throughout to set an eerie depressing mood. Davis shows more of his actual singing talent and makes you feel the lyrics.
It is reminiscent of a suicide note, but can just display a general, more common feeling of depression.
In the song, he can't seem to escape the feeling. He wants to know something "more than this". He wishes he could feel it, but nothing is there except "saturated loneliness".
The 'abduction' and 'corruption' references are less clear, but lend themselves to the song anyway.
It is a good song to make last on the CD. Also brings the point home by leaving you with those thoughts in silence. The first few times I listened I did get tears.
It still brings the emotions when I really need to hear it.
Sends me goosebumps | Reviewer: Gary Dudenko | 11/13/08
The first time I heard this song, I thought it was just filler material...but when I took the time to actually listen to it, I realized how poetic and well put together it was. I was amazed that Korn had such lyrical skills. Every time I get to the part that says "And the bath water's cold/And this life's getting old," I get shivers and goosebumps, because I realize that someone has been planning to KILL THEMSELVES the entire song!
i love this song | Reviewer: damien | 10/26/08
I listen to this song every time I'm feeling down and it helps me to cry and put my emotions on the open. Hope this song helps other people too, just know you're not alone there are a lot of us out there probably feeling in a similar way.
