Great song, I love the whole album. FYI, this songs chorus is borrowed (with aknowledgment on the album) from Kraftwerks album "Computerwelt" from 1981. The song is called "Computer liebe" (love).

I think the lyrics are pretty simple. He's lost his brother or someone so close he calls his brother. Without this person, he feels lost and incomplete. He's made suicide attempts in order to meet him but hasn't succeeded. The advice he's decided to take is the advice he would give to him, if he was still alive. This person lives on in all of his songs and their lyrics. If you can't think of something you could live for, think of something you would die for a live for that.

Coldplay ripped off this song from an porno movie from 1984 called "Little Show Offs." I swear the melody is exactly the same. Do they give reference to it on their CD ? PLMK.

If anyone has this movie on tape, watch the very first scene with the 2 lesbians dancing in the club. The porno movie version went something like:
