they're not emo | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the album Tell All Your Friends performed by Taking Back SundayI wouldn't call this band "emo" they're a rock/punk band. you want to see emo go look up grudge bands than you'll see emo. They are equivalent of blink 182. sure some will say that blink is emo, but then i just tell you your musically confused.anyway the album is amazing, and I'd recommend it to anyone with ears... that work
Amazing album, but not reinventing anything. | Reviewer: Alex
------ About the album Tell All Your Friends performed by Taking Back SundayWhile the album may be one of the classics, it is just one of the bench marks "emo" bands measured themselves upon. And believe it or not most of these songs arent about breaking up with a girl they are about his best friend who at the time John had a falling out with, not adam. But back to the album, every single song is memorable and any scene kid from 04 (I think thats the albums release date) to now should known every word to at least half this album. Good reference to see what current bands base thier sound off. And a classic sing along album.

Absolutely brilliant!!! | Reviewer: Adam
------ About the album Tell All Your Friends performed by Taking Back SundayWhat an album!!! i bought it recently after hearing "You're So Last Summer" and i couldn't believe what i heard. each song is as explosive and lyrically brilliant as the next. Adam Lazzara is an amazing singer and it's obvious from songs like "Cute Without The E" and "You're So Last Summer" that he puts all his effort, energy and thought into each song he writes and sings! All the songs are easy to relate to cos whether you wanna admit it or not we've all gone through hard break-ups and shit like that! Taking Back Sunday are re-inventing an emo scene that's become increasingly boring and repeated in recent years with an honesty and commitment to their fans comparable to the best of bands! 10 out of 10-go out and buy it...and tell all your friends!
Brilliant | Reviewer: Tbs
------ About the album Where You Want To Be performed by Taking Back SundayI think their old album was aboslutey delicious, and again here they come with more deliciouness! My favorite album right now, every song makes you wanna get up and dance..and cry. so go buy it if you havent! Absolute Brilliance form the onwe of the greatest bands ever. I love it.
great album! | Reviewer: Andrew Riley
------ About the album Where You Want To Be performed by Taking Back SundayThe album opens with a bang with the song 'set phasers to stun', and has peaks and lows as it goes on.songs like 'phasers..' and my favourite 'little devotional' have some great driving riffs and choruses, rounded up by TBS's great pop sensibities, and ability to come up with some great hooks that you just cant get out of you're head. its not as cliched lyrically as some songs on brand new's deja entendu album (sorry to compare them, but i cant help but do so)- but those of you that hate mainstream emo will hate this! sadly, at some points, musically, it seems to be a bit of a snap shot of the genre, a song which is very dashboard creates this feeling, and another is very hot water music (but i personnally love HWM!) i was very impressed with the two new members- guitarist brings great backing, and the bassist is great, some really catchy and tight lines. drummer is a tight as ever. only problem is adam lazarra's voice is even higher at points then on the first album! overall though- a great album which i havent been able to stop listening to!
Another good album from Taking Back Sunday | Reviewer: Dan
------ About the album Where You Want To Be performed by Taking Back SundayTaking Back Sunday's first album Tell All Your Friends was full of good, catchy but simple songs. It seems quite clear on Where You Want To Be with the addition of a new (and seemingly better) guitarist/singer that they have matured, now with a fuller, tighter sound. They also show a little more versatility with song number six, New American Classic, exposing the softer side of Taking Back Sunday. This is a good album that shows the more mature side of Taking Back Sunday.
