this is a great song, and yes marilyn manson did do a cover of it, but the original song from soft cell did it better. and to be honest, so far ive never heard a cover song that was better than the original

"Tainted Love" is probably one of the most played one hit wonders I've ever heard. It's a teriffic song and a shame Softcell couldn't match it on US soil. I've heard of their popularity across the pond, but not the first one hit wonder to have better luck in England. Awesome song!

For anyone that cares or doesn't know ...
The original was by Gloria Jones in the 1960's. In the '80's, it was covered by Softcell. And then by Marilyn Manson (with a million other lesser known covers I won't mention).
The original was a lot more soulful, but I still love Softcell's.

I absolutely love this song!! I don't know what it is but I just love it! I've heard many versions but the Soft Cell one is the best, this song is just a classic.
