Where do I put this fire
This bright red feeling
This tiger lily down my mouth
He wants to grow to twenty feet tall
CHORUS:
I've left bethlehem
I feel free
I've left the girl I was supposed to be and
Someday I'll be born
I'm so tired of being shy
I'm not that girl anymore
I'm not that straight A anymore
Now I want to sit with my legs wide open and
Laugh so loud that the whole damn restaurant
Will turn and look at me and say
Look at the tiger jumping out of her mouth
Chorus
No more sex-starved teachers
Trying to touch my ass
I can finally be a teenager at age twenty-six
Go to hell lions, tigers, and bears
I'm not afraid of you anymore
And my fear broke apart like fifty balloons
And I'm thrown around the room like party confetti now
chorus
Someday I'll be born
Someday someday someday I'll be born
Someday someday someday I'll be born
High and noon (13 times)

Review about Tiger Brilliant | Reviewer: Sean McKinley | 11/21/2007
The emotion and effort it requires for a woman to sing with such intensity, allowing the primal anger and angst of her thoughts be revealed so honestly, is truly remarkable. I've seen her a few years ago at the Lillith Fair - she takes her music very seriously, enough so that Peter Gabriel thought she was good enough for his Secret World Tour.
Hate this song! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/25/2006
I guess Paula is trying to be some sort of performance artist, but her voice on the ending to this song is so grating that it totally detracts from the lyrics. Sounds like she scream-singing, and it's horrible! Up until that point, I kind of liked it!
