------ About the song Awakenings performed by Symphony X
Besides the fact that this is an outstanding song, with a beautiful melody, and awesome guitar riffing, the lyrics really speak to me on a personal level, and it has helped me through some rough times in life. It's a reminder that we all need to cease the opportunities in life, or we will live a life in regret.

------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
I disagree, though I DO love Dream heater, I would have to say the end of this song [Champion of Ithica] definately beats the end of In The Presence Of Enemies.
The end is just so passionate, and you can just imagine the herioc sature of Homer.
It's a masterpiece and I freaking LOVE it!

------ About the song The Sacrifice performed by Symphony X
This song just goes to show how versatile Symphony X is. They have the ability to switch it up and can just as easily blast you with sheer awesome as they can slow down and serenade you with amazing lyrics.

------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
The greatest part of this song is the ability to keep you spellbound through out the entire 24 minutes. With subtle and not so subtle switches in elements of the music, each minute offers something new. I don't think there will be too many songs of this caliber. A must-listen, from start to finish.

------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
This is my favourite Symphony X song ever, I havent heard anything in their back catalogue that matchs up to this at all. I mean yeah there are the amazing songs like Divine Wings, Accolade 1 and 2, Through the looking glass etc. but this is just outstanding

------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
It's akin to a change of seasons by DT, and even some semblence to transatlantic/neal morse. It's quality remains througout, however i don't think the finale can match up to the end of In the presence of enemies, or Six degrees of inner turbulence, both containing the same balance of genres. As far as the metal bits are concerned they kick ass and his voice suits it to a tee :D

------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
V - The New Mythology Suite is my favorite, and is listened to in it's entirety at least once a week along with The Odyssey, and The Accolade II from this CD right afterward.
In a time when most music is utter trash, and the airwaves are filled with talentless nobody's, The Odyssey is a true masterpiece. The composition, execution, diversity of style are amazing, and unlike anything else being done. The new CD, Paradise Lost is very, very good, but this, and V are great. I have been listening so long, and this never gets old.

------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
This combines all elements of music in general, from classical to pop. The only genre not flawlessly covered by this masterpiece is hiphop/rap. I was captivated through all of the 24 minutes, which is even more than I can say for Dream Theater's Octavarium.
One of the best songs ever, hands down! | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song The Odyssey performed by Symphony X
This is just amazing. If you like this you should listen Accolade, Accolade II, Communion and the Oracle, Rediscovery part 2; the new mythology and those "not so heavy and neo-classical pieces" they're all great. But this is absolutely a masterpiece....
