Supermassive Black Hole Lyrics - Muse

Review The Song (77)

Oh baby don't you know I suffer?
Oh baby can't you hear me moan?
You caught me under false pretences
How long before you let me go?

oooh...You set my soul alight
oooh...You set my soul alight

(oooh...You set my soul alight)
Glacier's melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

(oooh...You set my soul alight)
Glacier's melting in the dead of night
And the superstars sucked into the supermassive

I thought I was a fool for no-one
Oh baby I'm a fool for you
You're the queen of the superficial
And how long before you tell the truth

Watch the video clip, full of symbol... Look at the album cover.. Full of symbol.. This music is not about love... Is all abou organization called illuminati or freemason

Oh My | Reviewer: Sir Largewood | 1/21/13

Oh dear, I seem to have jizzed my pants. Please, allow me to clean that up. Oh, no no, I can get it, thank you. However, if you could procure a spot of lemon juice for the stains, I would be ever-so greatful.

I LOVE MUSE!!!! | Reviewer: Alice347 | 7/28/11

i was already in love with Muse, but i had never heard of this particular song.....until i saw Twilight. After i saw the movie,i was on a hunt, looking for the name of the song. At last i found it and it is my top favorite. I even suggested it to a couple of my friends....and they LOVED IT!!!!

meaning is Illuminati | Reviewer: Aero | 6/15/11

this song is about Illuminati and NWO (new world order.. you can realize the phrase "I thought I was a fool for no-one
Oh baby I'm a fool for you
You're the queen of the superficial
And how long before you tell the truth" the queen of the superficial is america(Illuminati)and they deceive you people about "war against terorist" and event "november 11".. Muse is one of the anti-Illuminati..
Sorry my english bad..

You're going to hate me, but | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/2/11

I did first hear about this band from twilight, but only cause the radio never said who wrote this song. Now I listen to other songs by Muse. It's not a bad thing that that short scene caused this band to get many more people to listen to them.

Matt Bellamy | Reviewer: Wayne | 8/2/10

Guys all this discussing of what muses songs mean ur never gonna know unless u ask matt urselves because alot of his songs could relate to politics, love, space etc cos matt has been in love, believes theres something out there and is very knowlrdgeable about politics...thats why alot of people love muses songs...they can mean something to everyone! I'll Always love them for this reason...not to mention their music is fuckin AWSOME!

twilight isnt that bad | Reviewer: g money | 7/17/10

dude why are you hating on twilight so much?? I mean ya it's aimed for girls.. It depicts the epitome of random lucky romantic situations for girls with a vampire twist the same way Harry Potter depicts the epitome of random lucky fate situations for a poor kid.. How does that sound bad and why would that be bad for Muse to contribute to. Why can't you just appreciate it for what it is? sexist pig..

And in my opinions the plots of Harry Potter are retarded.. I'll see every movie but when it comes down to it I still think Harry Potter is for eleven year olds.. I read the first Twilight and thought it was a good read with hilariously over-dramatic female appeal.. One line that I particularly remember was something like..

"Edward stood leaning against the wall on the opposite side of the room, looking more like a Greek god than any man had the right too." ROFL

hilarious.. But otherwise I didn't mind and just thought about what it'd be like to be Edward.. He is a pretty big badass..

I'd rather my women be interested in fantasy Twilight stuff than the Notebook any day.. I have some issues with the Notebook...........

F twilight... | Reviewer: Emmm | 5/14/10

I just have to say that I've been listening to Muse since 2004 B.T. [before twilight XD]. I love this song as well as ALLL the other ones and I'm going to see them live in October. I'm so excited :D

ha? | Reviewer: donney | 5/4/10

just wondering how come these 'Twilight' people just found Muse only from some short scene about baseball in Twilight movies where this song is played for about 30sec? then where on earth and what kind of music you people listen before?

for Andhika...if you're reading this | Reviewer: ariel | 3/31/10

I have not yet listened to the actual song, although I just read the lyrics and they are powerful.I believe that in this song he is telling this girl (who he is in absolute love with)that she is destructve, but he is EXTREMELY attracted to her, and he doesn't want anything else. She also caught him off guard, maybe when he was the most vulnerable. And even though she is destructive, she is something good. She is a blackhole that sucked him in and now she is setting his soul alight. He uses repition when he says "oooh...you set my soul alight" I believe he is repeating this line to put an emphasis on how she is more good than destructive. He also gives a mood of darkness throughout the song. It is also cold. I hope that will help you out with your veiws on this AMAZING song.

What a mess | Reviewer: Twilight xoxo | 11/30/09

the people here are starting to irritate me. I dont like their comments about the song. urgh.. so insulting. Twilight is a good story and it's a fantasy story.. i will not happen for real. youre thinking Jesus.. i think vampires, werewolves, and other magical creatures.. really not exist...just humans, animals, plants, living things!!!!! thats all.. beside i like twilight. the book the movie, and all.. it's insulting. just think if other twihard fans read your comments.. what will they think.. maybe thay want to start a battle or fight.. ugh.. nothing. if you also dont like my comment it's only my revenge.. sorry but i need to do this.. thanks to staffs. etc. see ya guys!!!!!!!

Awesome | Reviewer: Teaset | 11/21/09

I love this song. It was the first song I heard by Muse when my dad put it on in his car last spring and since then I've become attached to many of their songs, I hope they come to Vancouver soon so I can see them live, and hopefully they'd play this song.
The one thing thats been bothering me was that my sister told me about a week ago that this song was featured in the twilight soundtrack. I've stopped using it as my ring tone because I don't want people getting the wrong impression about my view of twilight. Its still an awesome song though :D

Not about Twilight | Reviewer: unknownpersonality | 11/1/09

Okay, I admit it, I hadn't heard of Muse before Twilight. I bought the soundtrack because I liked the music, not because it was Twilight.

I like this song because of the soundtrack.

I'm going to look up more stuff by Muse, I just haven't had time to do so.

Anyway, Twilight is starting to annoy me. It's the plot. Don't get me wrong, it's a good story, but I find it disturbing that anyone would want to become immortal because of their boyfriend being a vampire.

People change. What if Bella were to wake up one day years after Breaking Dawn was finished and suddenly realize that she didn't love Edward anymore? What then?

Also, they were together for, what, a year before she got turned into a vampire and cursed with immortality? You can't get to know someone enough to decide that they're your soul mate withing a space of twelve months.

Yes, I just said immortality is a curse. Think about it before you say your want to live forever. Until Jesus comes back--and that could be at any time--how could you live for Him when you don't have a soul? (Technically, that was what Bella did, she gave her soul to Edward.)

Now that the rational side of my mind has gone through the book series, I wish that Edward had left her human or the Italian vampires had killed him. Then she could have had a normal life.

P.S. The Hose is another book by the person who wrote Twilight, and The Host is WAY better.
