Suicide Note PT. II Lyrics - Pantera

Review The Song (4)

Out of my mind, gun up to the mouth
No pretension, execution, live and learn
Rape and turn
Fret not family, nor pre-judged army
This is for me, and me only, cowards only
Try it

Don't you try to die, like me
It's livid and it's lies and makes graves descending

It's not worth the time to try, to replenish a
rotting life
I'll end the problem, facing nothing, fuck you off,
fuck you all
Tortured history, addict of misery, this exposes me
for weakness is a magnet - watch me do it (do it)

Don't you try to die, like me
It's livid and it's lies and makes graves descending down

Why would you help anyone who doesn't want it,
doesn't need it, doesn't want your shit advice
when a mind's made up to go ahead and die?
What's done is done and gone, so why cry?

Tortured history, addict of misery, this exposes me
for weakness is a magnet - watch me do it (do it, do it...)

Don't you try to die, like me
It's livid and it's lies and makes graves descending down

It's one thing to talk about it and it's another... | Reviewer: Louis | 5/31/14

I googled these lyrics because I wanted to know more about the song and I found the comments above mine and felt compelled to respond (Even though the comments are old, but perhaps others read these as well.) The idea that you should leave someone who is suicidal or addicted to drugs alone is ABSURD. Sure, it might be what they want in that moment and it might be what they want the rest of their life, but is it what you want? My brother killed himself and that's not what I wanted. People with addiction or suicidal thoughts/idealization are NOT IN THIER RIGHT MIND. Always show love for those around you, always. If there situation is bleak and it causes them to think on suicide, help them with their situation. It's easier to let them go than to get them help? TOO BAD. Because when you're talking about someone you care about AFTER THE FACT, then you'll understand what I mean.

This song is not really about suicide or killing yourself, it's about Phil and his struggles with herion. This song and part one were written about his herion overdose that killed him (he was dead with no heart beat for around 4 to 5 minute). the point he was trying to make is a junkies mind is made up and they will do what they want and to leave them the fuck alone.

Not entirely, Charles. | Reviewer: Nobody | 9/18/09

I understand where you're coming from, but I would slap suicidal words right out of the mouths of any of my loved ones. Fuck staying the fuck away from anyone I love, considering that. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't fucking care. Thank God for Pantera, and thank God I haven't had to deal with that as a serious threat. Another truth be told, many suicidal rants are just a cry for help. Pantera's Phil Anselmo is still alive and kicking, singing for Down. I'm open to every angle of interpretation, on lyrics.

The truth be told. | Reviewer: Charles Manson | 9/3/07

Everyone is blinded by trying to help someone with suicide, if they want help, they'll ask for it. If they don't, stay the fuck away. The truth is here in lyrics. Thank fuckin' God for PanterA
