Unlike 99% of Depeche Mode songs, this one was ot written by Martin Gore, but by Dave Gahan and his two buddies. Dave had told Martin that if he was not penning songs on the album, the band was done. So Martin finally gave in and this masterpiece was born! Shame how many other great songs Dave could of added in past years!! If you ever see the video (check on YouTube)his third wife is the Angel and herself at the end. A great video for a great song!!

Ive loved depeche mode since the 80s n av always bin inspired by their lyrics. its fresh, raw and honest n that aplies ta this song also. ive kinda adoptd it as my theme song as i feel it describes my life so acurately. thanx dave gahan for writing this beautiful song. depeche mode rocks.
