Stubborn Kind Of Fellow Lyrics - Marvin Gaye

Review The Song (2)

Ah say yeah yeah yeah, say yeah yeah yeah
Ah say yeah yeah yeah, say yeah yeah yeah

I try to put my arms around you
All because I wanna hold you tight
(To hold you tight)
But every time I reach for you, baby
And try to kiss you, you just jump clean out of sight
(Out of sight)
Oh, I've got news for you
Baby, that I've made plans for two
I guess I'm just a stubborn kind of fellow
Got my mind made up to love you

Ah say yeah yeah yeah, say yeah yeah yeah

(instrumental)

I'm gonna love you
(Gonna love you in every way)
In every way
(Gonna love you in every way)
I'm gonna love you
(Gonna love you in every way)
In every way
(Gonna love you in every way)

With other girls I've wanted
I've dated just a moment
With you I'll shall remain
(I'll stay by your side)
Now I know you've heard about me
Bad things about me, baby, please let me explain
(Don't you listen to that jive)
Oh, I have kissed a few
I tell you, a few have kissed me too
I guess I'm just a stubborn kind of fellow
Got my mind made up to love you

(repeat and fade):
Ah say yeah yeah yeah, say yeah yeah yeah

stubborn marvin gaye wrong lyrics to me anyway | Reviewer: Aiysha Davis | 8/8/11

i thoughtthe song said jump flee out of sight
and at the begging i thought when he got to the second verse it was like say yeah yeah yeah one more time now baby say yeah yeah yeah say yeah yeah. Im aware of it being a motown song i am also aware why his dad was up set with him singing these songs becuse they were very sexual lyrics now that im reading them its about him having sex with other women and then with her . Even the begging sounds like an orgasum there right sex drugs and rock and roll but at least this song matched the singer marvin gaye just ozzed of sex. Hes tbe afrodities of motown music.

"stubborn" ...not even top 40?? | Reviewer: john maynard | 3/11/08

I was excited to play "Stubborn Kind of Fellow" for my '63-4-5 class reunion. Thought they would go wild (great sound system), then discovered it didn't even crack the top 40. I remeber it as a hit, but don't want to play a "huh" for my classmates. How could this record not have charted? Comments?
