Reviews about The Needles The Space The Needles the space | Reviewer: Jenn | 6/21/2007 Straylight Run is back with a much anticipated follow up album to their self titled disc, and the Prepare to be Wrong EP. The new album, The needles The Space doesn't just pick up where the band left off, but takes them to a whole new level. The 13 songs that make up this album (though many online deals promote acoustic and covers as bonus tracks) take the listener on a lyrical journey through the minds of John Nolan and Michelle DaRosa. Stand out tracks, "Soon we'll be living in the Future" (the current single), and "Who will Save us Now" question, religion, war, and the general arrogance that can be seen simply by turning on the news in the US. "How do I fix my head" deals with the current craze for plastic surgery, and morphing yourself so you fit in with the quote/unquote beautiful celebrities and models you see on the screen. This album is worth purchasing for the step that it takes. The instrumentation is different. The themes are different. You will not find this album sung by every artist on the radio right now.
