Turn her over
A candle is lit
I see through her
blow it out and save all her ashes for me
Curse me
Sold her
The poison that runs its course through her
pale white skin with strawberry gashes
all over all over
Watch me fault her
You're living like a disaster
she said kill me faster
with strawberry gashes
all over
Called her over
and asked her if she was improving
She said feels fine
it's wonderful wonderful here
Hex me told her
I drempt of a devil that knew her
Pale white skin with
strawberry gashes
all over all over
Watch me fault her
You're living like a disaster
She said kill me faster
With strawberry gashes all over all over
I lay quiet
Waiting for her voice to say
some things you lose
and some things you just give away
Scold me failed her
if only I'd held on tighter to her
pale white skin
that twisted and withered
away from me away from me
Watch me lose her
it's almost like losing myself
Give her my soul
and let them take some body else
get away from me
Watch me fault her
You're living like a disaster
She said kill me faster
With strawberry gashes all over all over ME

Review about Strawberry Gashes Hurrm. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/31/09
This song sounds as if the narrator is a drug dealer of some sort. It also sounds as if the narrator somehow got her friend into a bad habit then realised what it did to them. Or that the narrator blames themselves for their friend's psychotic amount of depression...
It could also be a "What does it mean to you?" scenario.
Kill me faster... | Reviewer: Toria the Awsomearifical | 6/2/09
I tried to figure out some of this amazing song, and this is what I got.
Actually, I lied, this is what you need to understand to understand my explanation.
Watch me fault her
You're living like a disaster
She said kill me faster
With strawberry gashes
All over
I think that the line "Your Living like a disaster" is the singer saying to a person who hurts herself what it has done to her, and "Kill me faster" is the girl responding. That’s all I needed to say so that you can understand my explanation.
On to my explanation...
The beginning is basicly the singer/speaker person finding the body of a good friend, then walks away and tells the story of how this happened. In the lines "Curse me sold her the poison that runs its course through her" if you put a comma between me and sold, it means that the speaker gave the girl the poison she killed herself with. The repeated lines "pale white skin with strawberry gashes all over all over" Describes the body of the dead girl, pale with pink scars from the cuts she inflicted on herself.
Im not going bore you with a three page review like I did the other day for the song 'Exo-Politics' by Muse, so I guess Ill just tell the story.
There were two girls who had been friends for a very long time, the speaker and the dead girl. The dead girl(before she was dead) had reached an impassible point in her life or a tragedy and began hurting herself by cutting. Not only did she cut her wrists, but other places too, where it would hurt more yet still remain unnoticed, like her chest and ankles. The not-dead girl found out about the cutting and tried to help her by telling her how much of a wreck she was and how awful her life was and was going to continue to be, but the dead girl just wanted to die faster.
Eventually, the dead girl appears to be getting over her problems, but she is really only riding the high she gets from the emotional relief the cutting provides (It does provide temporary emotionally relief. As the wounds heal, it hurts, and if your focusing on physical, your not focusing on emotional pain, providing relief.) Unfortunately, this is only an illusion, and she continues to cut herself to feel better. Soon, as her body becomes accustomed to the pain and it becomes obsolete, cutting stops helping at all and the dead girl again longs for death.
The not-dead girl makes a mistake or maybe a slip of a tongue, and tells her about a dream where her friend stands by the devil as a minion and a corpse, and is covered in little pink scars and open wounds.
As time passes, the dead girl drifts away from her friend and becomes secluded in a cold apartment or similar dark location. The not-dead girl tries to save her but can not get a grip on her. She is too far gone into her depression to be saved by friends and family. Eventually, the speaker refuses to watch her friend suffer through the cutting any longer, and in an impulse offers her poison to kill herself with. The dead girl accepts and the speaker tells her to use it only as a last resort, if she was sure she wants to die. Unfortunately, she does not, and takes it within a week.
The living girl blames herself for her friends death, and rightfully so. If not for her, her friend would still be alive. After finding her body, she returns to her house and lies in her bed, wishing her friend would come back. She feels like that she just let her friend die, which she did, instead of fighting for her.
In the end, the girl would rather trade her soul for her friends (as she knows her friend is in hell from the dream she had. Maybe not, but I think so.) Ironically, she begins cutting herself at the end, and most likely dies too.

*shivers* this song makes me feel so weird, but a good weird, i guess.
i love this song, but i can't really work out if the end means that the girl committed suicide, or that the girl was just lost to the 'strawberry gashes'...
makes me worry about a friend of mine.

man this songs reminds me so much of you, so much of us, i wish so hard sometimes that we were toegther, i still dream about you today. i still care for you, we can never be toegther after those little stunts you pulled, you really hurt me AW and i honestly think that we both would have been better off if i never met you
I thought the song was about B&D! I thought the strawberry gashes were about a submissive and a mistress and their both females. I guess I don't know S//T! I think i like the song better if I think of it more in MY sense..LOL
lol? :D | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/13/08
nobody says it's about her specifically cutting her wrists.. strawberry gashes all over <3 It's about a girl lying about self harm, and the girl who's singing the song knowing that she's lying.. and feeling like she's responsible for every wound she inflicts upon herself from then on after.. so it's like she feels pain upon herself in a sense
i think this song is about jessika and a really good friend that wants to kill herself and jessika is going crazy over it.. i dunno tho lol. bye.

Holy shit, man! I never ACTUALLY payed attention to the lyrics of this song!! Like, WOW. Its so meaningful, and if people start listening to it, it could show people who inflict pain on themselves how people will feel, if they do that shit. GOOd JOB JOJ!! That song made me cry. *Embarassed* It saddens me that they broke up. But now Jessicka has a new band and that one is pretty good to! XOX
mmm | Reviewer: . | 10/9/07
Uhm, whoa! those lyrics are crazy! Jessicka must have loved this girl! "Watch me loose her, its almost like loosing myself! Give her my soul and let them take somebody else!"
teehee. I love tis band!!
If you watch the video, it's very clear that the lyrics go back and forth between the cutter and the one to whom she is crying out to for help. Cutting is dangerous and should not be endorsed, but putting out lyrics that at least acknowledge the pain and possible end result - it's art and it's necessary and definitely timely and called for. Bravo to JOJ for their boldness.
