The tale of a young French girl come to England and and live with a host British family. Slim Whitman also recorded a vocal version. Slim's rendition and unique voice captures the homesickness sentimentality portrayed by the young French girl. Each time I listen to Slim's lyrical version, my memory is refreshed.
