Strange World Lyrics - Iron Maiden
Review The Song (3)
The only place where you can dream, living here is not what it seems.
Ship of white light in the sky, nobody there to reason why.
Here I am, I'm not really there, smiling faces ever so rare.
A let's walk in deepest space, living here just isn't the place.
Stalks of light come from the ground, when I cry there isn't a sound.
All my feelings cannot be held, I'm happy in my new strange world.
Shades of green grasses twine, girls drinking plasma wine.
A look at love, a dream unfolds, living here, you'll never grow old.
Don't you hear me call? Ooh

My favorite Maiden song! | Reviewer: Crazy D | 4/10/13
Does anyone think the words are "stalks of LIFE" instead of LIGHT? It sure sounds like it to me. Doesn't matter much, I LOVE the song, just curious. It's a tough song to figure out the meaning, but some songs are just not meant to be figured out...that's what makes them timeless!
Absolutely amazing song! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/5/13
This is an awesome song from an amazing band. Also, I agree, the lyrics are vague. However, I thought it was talking about life in the first verse, and then heaven (or death) in the second verse, which kind of explains stalks of light from the ground, and girls drinking plasma wine, like stars and such. This is just my opinion, though.

I have a theory about what this song represents although the lyrics are very vague. It might be about a miserable person, who finds no joy in living. The only place, they are happy is in their dreams.
