MICKEY THOMAS made his mark in 1976 as the lead vocalist on
the mega-hit "FOOLED AROUND AND FELL IN LOVE", by THE ELVIN
BISHOP BAND. In 1979, Mickey's notoriety outgrew the
confines of Elvin Bishop, and he left to join THE STARSHIP
as their lead vocalist. Backed by the power of Mickey's
vocals, THE STARSHIP immediately soared a #1 hit with
"JANE". With Mickey as their new focal point, THE STARSHIP
went on to record an amazing string of hits, including an
incredible four #1 smashes "NO WAY OUT", WE BUILT THIS
CITY", "SARAH" and "NOTHING'S GONNA STOP US NOW". Other top
his included "FIND YOUR WAY BACK", "STRANGER", "LAYING' IT
ON THE LINE", and "IT'S NOT OVER TILL IT'S OVER". which
became MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL'S theme in 1987.
