Lacuna Coil Stars Lyrics

Last updated: 07/01/2012 11:00:00 AM

Is it asking too much to be given time
To know these songs and to sing them
Is it asking too much of my vacant smile
And my laugh and lies that bring them

As the stars are going out
And this stage is full of nothing
And the friends have all but gone
For my life my god I'm singing

We'll take our hearts outside
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...

Is it asking too much of my favorite friends
To take this song for real
Is it asking too much of my partner's hands
To take this song for real

As the stars are going out
And this stage is full of nothing
And the friends have all but gone
For my life my god I'm singing

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...

We'll take our hearts out side...
We'll take our hearts out side...

We'll take our hearts out side,
Leave our lives behind,
I'll watch the stars go out...

We'll take our hearts out side,
Leave our lives behind,
I'll watch the stars go out...

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...
(leaving our lifes behind)

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...
(leaving our lifes behind)

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...
(leaving our lifes behind)

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...
(leaving our lifes behind)

We'll take our hearts out side
Leave our lives behind
I'll watch the stars go out...

Best out of Lacuna Coil's three covers! | Reviewer: GS | 7/1/12

This song is just something else. I first heard this a few years ago while surfing youtube, searching for more metal groups when I really started getting interested in the genre. This song stood out to me, and became one of my all-time favorites. When I figured out it was a cover, I couldn't believe my eyes. It just sounded so "Lacuna Coil". I hate their cover of "Losing my Religion", but I love their cover of "Enjoy the Silence". I listened to the Dubstar original, and liked it, but the perfect transition over to metal made it sooo much more captivating, and MUCH sadder. If you let yourself get lost in this song, the emotion can be almost overwhelming. What can I say about this cover: It's FAR superior to the original, as this interpretation takes it to a whole new level. It surpassed LC's Depeche Mode cover as my favorite LC cover, and quickly rose to be my all-time favorite metal cover.

Yes this is a cover of a song originaly by dubstar, or whomever.
I'd like to say that Lacuna coil does this better,
even though I haven't heard the original.
It's just an amazing voice that carries this song to your heart

Fantastic interpretation and performance, but it's not a Lacuna Coil original. This song is originally by Dubstar.

This is truly a beautiful song. Right now, I'm in a spot where those first lyrics could be directly placed inside of my life with people I care about, straight from me...and I'd have never known they were a song.

This song is definitely about pain.

And anyone who can feel that...will love this song.
