Outside on a winter's night when the rain begins to fall
There's a chill in the air and the howl of the wolves
While the rain beats at the door
Seven kings will ride on the wind up towards the mountains high
And the only sound that will break the air is the warrior's bitter cry
When the dawn of a new song will see the day
Then the strongest hearts grow old
And the warrior stands on top of the hill in the snow
Dark night with a glimmering light in the distance up ahead
In the forest they dwell with a misty spell no one hears what once was said
And the eagle fly through the clouds while the earth bleeds dark and cold
When the voices of men will ring out again all creation shall unfold
When the color of night will fade to light
As the mysteries unfold
And the warrior stands on top of the hill in the snow
And we're standing one and all fighting 'til we fall
Hoping for a better day
Never giving in until we find the words, 'til we find the words to say
'til we find the words to say...
Burning starfire, shine in the sky
For the lives of great men, who stand by your side
When the night falls, on we will ride
For no lost souls will live on forever
Midnight on the valley below still the horsemen follow through
There's a forest that leads to the foot of the hill that inside the magic holds
Seven strong they ride on along to the place where sorrow lies
And the shadows of the night will no longer hide all their mysteries come
undone
When the dusk of a full moon will see the light
And the weaker hearts go cold
And the warrior stands on top of the hill in the storm
And we're standing one and all fighting 'til we fall
Hoping for a better day
Never giving in until we find the words, 'til we find the words to say
'til we find the words to say...
Burning starfire, shine in the sky
For the lives of great men, who stand by your side
When the night falls, on we will ride
For no lost souls will live on forever
And we're standing one and all, fighting 'til we fall
Hoping for a better day
Never giving in until we find the words, 'til we find the words to say
'til we find the words to say...
Burning starfire, shine in the sky
For the lives of great men, who stand by our side
When the night falls, on we will ride
For no lost souls will live on forever

Seriously theres alot of people that dislike dragonforce. This song however is by fire the most differant song ive heard of them, its got the gorges keyboards and the vocals of a powerballed. I know im listening to the song right now.
Right now its my faveorite besides black fire, and the fire still burns.
Top 5 songs I've heard | Reviewer: Dragonforce fan | 4/27/09
In my opinoin these are Dragonforce's 6 best songs that I've heard (not in any order)
Dawn over a new world, starfire, through the fire and flames, the warrior inside, a flame for freedom, and the fire still burns
REPEAT: these are not in any order I like them all equally:)

You say that DragonForce is great and good, but your not, listening to the lyrics if the music, this song is about all thoughs people that are loosing famil in wars and all the brave men that risked their lives to help out ours.
OPEN YOUR EARS AND LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!!
Dragonforce is one of those glorious bands that will gleefully produce the same album thrice, and people, including myself, will still love it. Not deep, certainly not progressive, but enjoyable for what it is. "Starfire", however, is shocking in its lyrical breadth and gleaming images. ZP Theart adopts a melancholy, elegiac tone, underscored by his perennial vocal optimism. These two traits combine to evoke a sentiment of passionate sorrow the likes of which I didn't believe this band understood. I have far underestimated their talents as poets and musicians.

about dragonforce always sounding the same, have any of you ever listened to the sonic firestorm album and the inhuman rampage album all the way through? soldiers of the wasteland sounds a whole lot different than through the fire and flames. listen to soldiers of the wasteland, it has to be dragonforces BEST song. srsly.

Great song, great band. | Reviewer: Hollywoodb1 | 6/29/08
This is my personal favorite song, along with Cry of the Brave. They are, by far, the greatest metal/hard rock band i've ever heard. They certainly out-play metallica and iron maiden, and they have the best drummer i've heard, even better than Ringo Starr, who certainly has some crazy-excellent skill. The guitar solos are pretty repetitive but they're so fast it doesn't really matter. Mostly i'm just in awe of the speed, even though they lack creativity. And now for the singer: he knows how belt, to say the very least.
In music understanding that speed isn't everything is a hard barrier to break. Dragonforce as a whole isn't that great of a band for the simple fact that anyone with fast hands(see guitar worlds top ten fastest guitarists in the world) can do the repetitive scaling and song designs they do(though I understand that it's kind of their signature sound.) This is the single best song I've heard by them, yes that includes Through the Fire and the Flames and Fury of the Storm. The emotions that are in both solos are what truly make a song perfect as well as the catchy rhythm riffs and beautiful vocals/lyrics with meaning and purpose. Band I'd give about 3/5. Not the greatest band I've heard but far better than the bull crap thats on the radio right now like Nickelback, Hinder, and other junk like them. Song I give a 5/5 for the intense emotion given by all instruments including the bass and drum. not too far over the top but not subtle to the point where they're meaningless.
