I can honestly say this is one of the best songs I've ever heard. The lyrics are beautiful and so is her voice. The way the song sounds is almost puzzling, sort of a country but with a hippie-like twist. If you haven't heard this song, I strongly recommend it.

i never really liked "country" until i heard neko case's voice.
truly truly envious.
there's something there that you just want to hold and latch on to, something smooth and rough at the same time; calming and provoking. her voice is remarkably expressive and can make certain words sung hard or soft, creating a distinct timbre to each phrase or lyric that causes an unconscious connection from the sound to the meaning of the lyric.
the words themselves are remniscent of traditional country, but with a quirky and soulful twist that comes off as heartfelt and aching and just... raw. i guess i would describe it as kind of like the texture of straw. the way that feels in your hands.
