I think when they say "Yes, there are two paths you can go by" they are talking about the path to heaven by following the piper (Jesus) and the other path is the path to hell (Highway to Hell by AC/DC ??). That is just my opinion but other people believe the song is based on drugs and how you want more and more?. Their was also a rumour that the band wrote the song when they were stoned ?. I don't know what to believe. A reflection | Reviewer: Bill | 10/13/09 IMHO, Stairway to Heaven(StH) is a song for the ages. It's right up there with Amazing Grace and Why Me, Lord. Concluded from personal experience, these opinions are derived from a lifelong relationship with music. StH has a reflective quality about it. Hear it for the first time and you are left with a desire for more. Each experience of StH thereafter evokes memories of loss and gain, values and costs. This assumes of course that one is in an appreciative frame of mind. I have found that when I have a serious decision to make or a difficult question to formulate, StH is among the works I use for these private meditations. I accualy had a coppy of this song at one time. No wander I had such a messed up life. This song doesn't make any sense because it is written in a language we can't understand a language that I believe is to be called witches language. Jimmy Page bought Alister Crowly's house a former Satanist who he admired and him and Robert Plant I believe wrote that song in this house. Robert Plant said that he felt his pen being pushed when he wrote this song. And he staired back and looked at the words and couldn't beleive it. It makes mention of the piper twice if you look up Ezekiel 28:13 you will see that Satan had pipes built in him. And in the song it says the piper's calling you to join him. There is little time left on this wicked world the devil has taken control of so many people through music but Jesus is still more powerful and He can save you in this last hour. By the way you can't buy a stairway to heaven it is a free gift that Christ paid when He died for our sins. And yes the song is right when it says there are two paths you can go by but there may not be time to change the road your on. And all that santanic stuff I think it's all MAJOR BULL!!! I couldn't even understand what it said untill I went on YouTube but it didn't even sound the same. For those of you who say that the lyrics don't even make sense try being a little more open minded because there not really talking about a lady going shopping or spring cleaning in May.
