NIGEL TUFNEL and DAVID ST HUBBINS grew up in the same city
block in London's Squatney District, where David played
guitar in a skiffle band, the CREATURES, while Nigel did
the same for the LOVELY LADS. The two began jamming
together outside tube stations, and eventually formed their
first legitimate band, the ORIGINALS, later changed to the
NEW ORIGINALS when the East End ORIGINALS (now the
REGULARS) threatened suit.
The New Originals collapsed in 1964 without record company
support, but David and Nigel were hired by the legendary
JOHNNY GOODSHOW REVUE and played the Seaside Circuit,
gigging after hours at local pubs. It was in a Southampton
tavern, the Bucket (now the Bucket and Pail), that they met

------ About the song Stonehenge performed by Spinal Tap
Hello everyone. A good man would prefer to be defeated than to defeat injustice by evil means.
I am from Samoa and also now am reading in English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "traditional substance of difficult experiment is temperature, in the temperature that forces are uncharacterized well to let the bigger energy."
Thanks :D. Kalkin.

------ About the song Stonehenge performed by Spinal Tap
it's making fun of the likes of musicians who took themselves waaay too seriously back in the 70-80's. Rush with their seeeeeerious space theme (camel-toe tight pants, just look inside the 2112 cover!), ACDC and their Satanic horned deco/lightning bolt deco, and the lyrics are just a jok, people. If you felt moooooved by the music, you are a member of the population this movie was also poking fun at. The tasteless, mindless, sheeple that buy records and keep musical garbage in business. It's hilarious!

------ About the song Stonehenge performed by Spinal Tap
Spinal Tap may have been conceived in comedy and meant as satire, but ironically, they write truly good songs, and can actually play and sing. The meterial they turned out as spoofing metal bands and others (love the metal umlaut... over the N!)is much better than most of what "real" metal bands did and infinitely better than 99% of what's being turned out as "music" today.
Oh, they're not making fun of any Neo-Pagans. They're making fun of Nigel's "confusion". Such a fine line between stupid and clever...Spinal Tap rules and still goes up to 11.
This song is used twice in the movie, and there are differences, it actually changes depending on the circumstances, when Nigel is in the band, at the beginning of the movie, David sings "there's only one of us"
and because it is the show opener, there are introductions as well, such as
"Here, live! Direct from Hell! Spinal Tap!"
and David says "We are Spinal Tap from the UK! You must be the USA!" and the second verse is omitted. Not a dry seat in the house!
I'd play it too | Reviewer: Kiko Cuevas
------ About the song Stonehenge performed by Spinal Tap
This song even written as a satire for the various rock eras stands better as a true rock song than some of the famous and popular music of its era and of our current times. It has made an imression on people with good humnor who like to go to bars and rock out while having a few beers with friends. I have been to many bars and heard people scream out " play stonehenge" to which the band on stage usually replies, " we are not going to play F@#& stonehenge". Its a basic song but it gets you moving. If I was in a cover band today I would hope the rest of the band would have the sense of humor to want to play this song and observe the crowds reaction.

In the movie the stonehenge prop was sposed to be massive. Why then do they play such tinny music when they lower the monument and they have midgets dancing around it, shouldnt the music have been grander?

------ About the song Big Bottom performed by Spinal Tap
In our early twenties, my big-bottomed girl was curvy, plump and sexy. Ten years later, we're married and the only thing bigger than her bottom is her huge belly. Now she's pushing 300 pounds. "How could i leave this behind?" Easily.
mud flaps ya, i know about mud flaps! my mother had them, i was with a girl that had them, and i met them on monday, twas my lucky bun day. i sunk her with my pink torpedo. with rasberries and the seeds lying on chest. i slowly took my toung and licked every little bit off and then I SCREAMED! ...more like a howl, now that i think about it. ur an idiot. so in know about these kids right? they did something and they did somehting that i didn't know was true or not. but since a girl named Patience got really mad at me so i'll keep it under my hat.
i swear he says I can't touch my balls too much. what a douche he should really say that. i was disappointed to read the lyrics to find out otherwise

When society blows Christmas soooo out of the water with spending wads of money and forgetting why Christmas is what it is, it is nice to hear a song like this. Spinal tap, great song!

If you think that just because this sing is "just a joke made up for the movie" that people can't enjoy the lyrics, then you are the one that is sadly deluded. And don't give other people; "the idiots in white sheets" crap about whatever the hell they want to do. Mind your own damn business.

These group like spinal tap are really reduculious.
You guys should bow down and worship the Lord. Remember even satan believes. How can you run with the devil and not party with God. God gave you life satan will run out on you the minute there is trouble. You can't even right original material. You have to use Twas the night before Christmas??!! Good job. Well spinal tap Merry Christmas and God be with you.

Do we lurk in the murk of the seas?
What then? Are we born again?
Just to sit asking questions like these?

------ About the song Stonehenge performed by Spinal Tap
If either of you think that this song is anything other than a joke made up for the movie "This Is Spinal Tap" then you're sadly deluded.
...and Sgian Dubh "sadly deluded" is exactly what you are if you think that the idiots in white sheets who prance around Stonehenge at solstice times have got anything to do with either a, druids or b, the reason the stones were erected.
The druids didn't even exist when the stones were first erected! Any religions which are practiced there in modern times have been invented in the last couple of hundred years so I'd be interested to learn exactly which religions and culture are being "exploited" by the song...?
