The Spill Canvas is the brainchild of 19 year old Nick Thomas, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. His songs stem from emotion and transform late youth angst into brutally honest anthems... with acoustic guitar in hand, he is speaking for a new generation through his art. Musical influences include Saves the Day, Further Seems Forever, John Mayer, Ben Lee, Billymusic, Mogwai, Copeland, Maroon 5 and Dashboard Confessional. A skilled guitar player, Nick also plays piano and bass. In addition, he wrote and produced his album, Sunsets and Car Crashes, out now on 111 Records.

In 2004, Nick added a full band to the Spill Canvas live show. Members include Joe Beck, Scott McGuier, and Dan Ludeman. With musical influences from Atmosphere to Killswitch Engage, the new line-up is ripping apart the stereotype. Watch out world, TSC is taking over.

I heard the song all over you on the radio, and immediately fell in love with Nick's voice, not to mention the fact that he is completely all kind os gorgeous lol. I live a couple hours away from Sioux Falls, in Iowa.. I would love to see them play, catching a meet and greet would be awesome. Keep up the good work guys.

How many times have I heard All Over You and didn't have the faintest idea that these kids were from my hometown? I moved to Denver 5 years ago (at age 37) because I felt Sioux Falls wasn't big enough and didn't offer enough for me. This is definitely gonna make Sioux Falls a bigger dot on the map. I'd drive the grueling 10 hrs just to see you guys play at home. Way to go guys, right on.

i am completely amazed by Nick's ability to write with such honesty. it takes courage to open up &show yourself like that, especially on such a large level. i seen them in november &nothing will ever top that night. I've been listening to them for years now &ill forever be a lifelong fan. their music not only seems like its speaking directly to you; but Nick is the best looking guy I've ever seen :p

I have been listening to this band for years... A really good friend of mine introduced me to them. My friend was dating Nicks sister for a while and i started listening to these guys and they have really made me realize that im not the only person with these feelings of hate,love at the same time. I have went through a rought past couple years off and on with a girl that i really cared about...But i made the choice i couldnt be with her..The Spill Canvas helped me get through alot just by listening to there songs im sure there great guys in person as well. Knowing that there is even people like Nick out there that had the same problems growing up as i do makes me realize im not the only one....The Spill Canvas will def. be seeing alot more in the future. And i can see the radio stations starting to play there songs as we speak...I see a big future for these guys and i wish them the best of luck and ill be seein u on the 25 of April in SUFU

I'm 30 and far from teen angst but how the how the fuck does he know every feeling i have ever had. Jesus its like he has singing to me about me, it is amazing. I can't think of another songwriter so perfect with the feeling and raw emotion that he is able to capture. absolutly perfect.

The first thing I want to say is...This band is amazing. I don't now if Nick does all the writing if he does DUDE GET THE F*CK OUT OF MY HEAD. This band came into my life at a great time. Last year was rough for me deaths in the family, break up with the woman of my dreams anyway. You just have to understand this band has opened me up to writing again, playing, practice, singing. There just truly inspiration. I'm older 30 now hens the 78 in the name so I've gone through some formats in my life ( LP's tapes cd's) and have been exposed to all kinds of music in my life and grew up in time when many of the great bands were just starting out but in a time were I was young enough to listen to bands we now call legends. I could go on for hours but I won't you can all say thank god I thought he would never shut up now. Just wanted to say this is a young and talented band whom have touched my life and have truly opened my eyes to music again, this is what music was meant to do to you enjoy it. Just one more thing, this band is amazing they truly are and will soon be well they are one of the greatest bands this world has to offer. I hope to hear there music for many many years to come. I didn't actually find these guys until about a year ago. It was the best discovery of my life, no lie. I'm very into music and The Spill Canvas is all heart and soul; full of meaning. Every cent spent on a CD is worth so much more than just downloading! These guys are seriously the shit; i love every song more and more every time I listen to them.

This is the best band ever I found them on purevolume.com In mid 2003 and loved there music ever since. They kick ass so much so please dont download their music buy the albums because once you listen to these guys every cent spent on the cd is worth way more then the cd's value.
