If my soul could revive
from my carnal remains
what does it matter to me
If it all fades to black
If I’m born once again
then no-one really is free
How could I be condemned
for the things that I've done
If my intentions were good
I guess I'll never know
Some things under the sun
Can never be understood
How can we believe in heaven
Human reason counters all
Ideas of a soul society
my life is just a fragment
Of this universe and all
there must be more than I can see
In the dark we're the same
In the concept of time
We're like a grain in the sand
And we strive for the flame
As if death was our aim
'Cause we cannot understand
How I wish there was heaven
All for one and one for all
a flawless soul society
Our lives are just a fragment
Of the universe and all
there may be more than we can see
How could I be condemned
for the things that I've done
If my intentions were good
I guess I'll never know
Some things under the sun
Can never be understood
How can we believe in heaven
All for one and one for all
Ideas of a soul society
my life is just a fragment
Of this universe and all
there may be more than we can see

Review about Soul Society Amazing | Reviewer: animeotaku24 | 2/15/09
This song has amazing meaning. It's every human's wish to go to a paradise (soul society) when they die, but with our logic from science...there is no way something like that could possibly exist...
when a person has lost his way in life, he cannot help but wonder what his true purpose is. this song is about a man named Ariel, and how he wishes that there would be a perfect world for everyone, but he realizes this can never happen. he knows that there are still a million truths out there that he has not yet discovered, and that a lifetime alone will not be enough to quench his thirst for knowledge. he keeps on dreaming of a flawless society, stated in the line "How I wish there was a heaven, All for one and one for all, a flawless soul society".
in fact, how can we believe in something if human reason counters all? there really must be some things more than we can see :)
and lastly, all the songs of Kamelot in Black Halo are connected. it's a story :) and a good one to boot :)
Beautiful | Reviewer: Kraven | 5/9/07
I'm the kinda person who wonders all the time what life is, where, why and so on.
This song is great, not only cause it sounds good nor cause of the text, but what the text tells other than the direct message, from my point of view it tells about insanity, confusion, sorrow and love, all in a man/woman who do not understand the true meaning of life, again from my point of view the true meaning of life is to live it, not waste it cause in the end it all end in 0.

How strange... | Reviewer: Yuki | 4/24/07
This is a pretty awesome song... Not stuff I usually listen to, but hey... Whatever... And you wanna know something funny? I discovered this song during a Bleach AMV. (Get it?)
