For people who do not know the depth of Sonya Isaacs'
talent and experience as a singer and songwriter, the
question might be, can she make a successful transition
from bluegrass/gospel to country music? After one listen to
her new, self-titled album for Lyric Street Records, the
answer to that question is a resounding yes.

Actually the word "transition" is misleading. Isaacs simply
opened the door to a musical place she already knew well in
order to take her music to a wider audience. Her "doorman"
was a man who had made a similar musical journey from
bluegrass to country years earlier: her producer, Vince

In my opinion, this is the best bluegrass gospel song I've ever heard in my 59 years. I saw the Issacs play at the Barre Opera House, Barre Vermont last November. By far my favorite concert. Sonya, your voice and stage presents is more than wonderful. In my minds eye, I can see God smile when you sing. Please come back to Vermont sometime soon.

This lady has one beautiful voice.My 42yr. old son heard only her voice, and the music, and told me to turn it up, so he could here the words,just as I had done weeks before he fell in love instantly.We did not realize it was a Christian song until we pulled up the lyrics,this song is so mesmerizing.Also found out that Vince Gill had a hand in it.
