Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze
Chorus:
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, Mountain Mama
Take me home, country roads
All my mem’ries, gathered ’round her
Miner’s lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Chorus
I hear her voice, in the mornin’ hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
And drivin' down the road I get the feeling’
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Review about Country Roads All Time Great | Reviewer: Donald Mtuwa | 7/7/09
Wherever Country music will be played, this song will always be a hit. The best thing about country music is that the older it gets the best it becomes. It is just vintage; it matures with time. Mr Denver, this is an all time great. The song is just natural, and country.
I am a wildlife conservationist of India.I simply love you and is born singing of you , of course when age had freed me from the dictums , since my eighteens .Now i'm forty , but still ....
