------ About the song Lunch For The Sky performed by Socratic
I think this songwriter shows his/her frustration with the futility of life. If this world,controlled by humans, was all that there is, I would tend to agree. But death isn't the cure, it's the passage to the next existence, the eternal one. The song takes on the theme of Ecclesiastes... vanities of vanities, but there is a "God-factor" missing in this song's equation.
