Blind Melon Sleepyhouse Lyrics

Last updated: 01/11/2012 10:00:00 AM

No time frame, for what i need to do today
Here at the yellow house. i think i'm gonna play
With free livin' lads down the street aways away
As i feel the moon rise
The time that all feels is the right time
Here in our sleepy house
As i wipe eye bugs away, the candle flickers at me to say
And in my head i sometimes pray
Hey aren't ya feeling fine
As i was as a little child
And i'm feeling better when i'm high
With a red light shinning on a little unity
The mistakes that i've made
No they don't seem to bother me
I sure as hell don't feel like
I missed any kind of train
If i could only show you how i feel
Then you wouldn't bother me
And then maybe you'd see why we don't mind being blind
As i was as a little child
And i'm feeling better when i'm high
With a red light shinning on a little unity
I'll probably be in a little while.

Amazing | Reviewer: Manda | 2/18/09

Shannon Hoon was blessed with such a gift. It's just terrible that he had to leave us so early. This song like all of the other Blind Melon song's from the 90's were unique in each their own way. Miss you Shannon.

ok | Reviewer: Jake Jarrett | 7/31/08

this song, as well as the whole album is completely amazing. Blind Melon is way too underappreciated, and there music is straight up awsome. FYI if you listen to the guns n' roses song don't cry real closely, the backup vocals are sung by shannon hoon. its a shame he ODed. he had an amazing talent

One of the best albums of its time | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/9/08

This sone is floaty and filled with a melancholy thats hard to describe without the music. This sone and the entire album is a great sample of the style of music from the early 90's. It's forever a part of my music collection.
