The Beginning...
Slayer came to life in the LA. Surburb of "the Huntington
Beach Area". Soon they won the reputation of "the
Huntington Hooligans". The band was started by Kerry King,
a guitarist who was looking for other muscians to start a
band. Prior to that, he had been in another band, with Tom
Araya. Kerry discovered Jeff Hanneman, another guitarist,
who was very interested in the punk movement that was going
on at the time. Later the two teamed up with a very skilled
drummer by the name of More...

In the faster version on the reign in blood album, the the lyrics are a little different. instead of Screaming as if nothing helps you press on to survive, its see the devil as if nothing helps you press on to survive. Instead of, "He'll have you down, on your knees, You play his little game, He'll satisfy your every need, you'll never be the same" its actually "I'll have you down, on your knees, youll play my little game, ill satisfy every nee, youll never be the same." And instead of " His fantasies of all of you are much to great to see" its "My fantasies of all of you are too much to see." thats what i think when i listen to it.

Slayer is a band that has always been about Serial Killers, Religion, and the hate of the American Politicians.... thats it... This song is not saying that the singer hates Jesus... he is singing about how religion and turned everything and everybody into this... your either a devilworshiper or a cult leader... This song is definitely Slayer's Best, But overall Slayer isn't as great as some think they are, they also replace riffs alot in their songs. Btw Ive been to a Dragonforce concert myself and they sounded like shit. Fast doesn't always mean good.

^This guy here who told us all that Trivium was better than Slayer needs to fucking listen to Angel of Death before saying Tom Araya's vocals suck. Bet Matt Heafy can't scream like that and never will. And he should consider that Kerry King can probably destroy Dimebag Darrell and whoever is in Trivium at solo's. Again, Angel of Death, most insane solo ever. You mr anonymous can go lick a floorboard. Listen to some real music (Although I must admit I do still like Trivium, no hate to them but hate to you)

I sang this to my mom once, she abused me emotionally/verbally, and a few weeks after I turned 18 I realised that how she parented me was abusive, and the hate in my heart for grew stronger when I realized I was abused so I decided to make my mom feel all the scared hopeless feelings she made me feel when I was growing up, so I went on a rampage yelling at my mom for hours on end two days straight calling her a cunt, punching holes in her bedroom wall, and blasting this song and yelling it at her face. She now knows not to fuck with the alpha male that is now bigger than her.

This the Best thrash song and album ever!! I was lucky enough to grow up around the corner from Dave Lombardo in California and I got to hear them for free for 3 years and they are amazing and really cool guys....SLAYER rules!!
