Muse Sing For Absolution Lyrics

Last updated: 12/01/2012 07:50:53 AM

Lips are turning blue
A kiss that can't renew
I only dream of you
My beautiful

Tiptoe to your room
A starlight in the gloom
I only dream of you
And you never knew

Sing for absolution
I will be singing
And falling from your grace
ooh

There's nowhere left to hide
In no one to confide
The truth burns deep inside

And will never die

Lips are turning blue
A kiss that can't renew
I only dream of you
My beautiful

Sing for absolution
I will be singing
Falling from your grace

Sing for absolution
I will be singing
Falling from your grace

yeah

Our wrongs remain unrectified
And our souls won't be exhumed

Sing For Muse | Reviewer: Jimmy Kane | 11/2/11

This song is amazing, it reminds me of certain things in my life. Bellamy is such an awesome lyric writer.
The song starts slowly and softly but the end it's all like frustration coming out and bursting into tears. I love it.
I just love Muse.

muse is the best | Reviewer: uruki | 11/15/10

as mr dom howard said, this song is about absolution. who cares about the whole twilight. even the author said the series are her interpretation of muse songs, muse songs all has deep meaning not about the vampire. their guitar, piano solo and drum beating are beyond comparison and nobody does it better than muse. muse is strong and genius in their music

Oh, this song | Reviewer: dkla | 11/8/10

This song feels like Matt crept into the private places in my mind where songs play for different situations, circumstances, and emotions. It is far to amazing to me to understand. I feel like he saw my inner most secret with this song

Freakin A people | Reviewer: Ashley | 9/24/10

This is an amazing song, this is the whole reason I first noticed this band. They make astounding music, and I personally love all of the Exogenesis Symphony and this song the best.

People should quit mentioning certain movies associated with Muse, because it doesn't freaking matter what movie they put their music in. Listen to the MUSIC. How does it make you feel? Can you relate to the lyrics? Does it make you feel amazing and at times tear up because of its absolute beauty? THAT is what matters. This band was around before certain movies, and will be around for a long time. They are talented. Pay attention to the important parts and give credit where it is due. And it IS due for this band.

Stop talking about DAMMNED TWILIGHT | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/24/10

This is for reviewing Sing for Absolution NOT Neutron Star Collision or Twilight, so review Sing for Abolution or SHUT BLOODY UP.

Rant over.

I love this song, it was the one that made me first aware of Muse and I still think it is their best. The video is also incredible and matches the song even though as another reviewer said it has nothing to do with space travel.

Love this song! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/13/10

It makes me sad and hopeful all at once. Also, just in response to this:

"for the one who said that Muse didnt wrote a song for the movie, well sadly they did. It is called Neutron Star Collide or something like that. I dont want to hear that song because it is for twilight, but I still love Muse!"

It is called Neutron Star Collision (and isn't one of Muse's shining moments, in my opinion) but it *wasn't* written for Twilight. Matt wrote it after he broke up with his girlfriend as an ode to what their relationship had been like in the beginning. He was unsure if it would still be relevant when it came time to make the next album so he donated it to Twilight. XD

Muse-Twilight | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/12/10

I hate twilight. I really do. But I love Muse, and also for the one who said that Muse didnt wrote a song for the movie, well sadly they did. It is called Neutron Star Collide or something like that. I dont want to hear that song because it is for twilight, but I still love Muse!

good song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/7/10

eh yeah, im just pointin out after seeing every1 going on about twilight here, and anyone else who thinks "oh we can thank twilight for this song" or w/e. This song came out long long before the twiilight film, so no need to continuously mention it ppl.

Great song by the way, totally hypnotic.

Pure beauty BESIDES Twilight. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/12/10

Very dream-like and well-played. The end gave it a perfect touch, the words unique and unlike any other.

Ugh. Disappointed that Muse would place their music in the Twilight movies; however, that does not take away my love for this song. Nonetheless, it's a little annoying when teeny-boppers say they're the greatest Muse fan ever when they only know one song that HAPPENED to be on the movie.

video production...genius | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/9/10

friends, aloha, one more comment...i also ran a full media ad agency years ago, producing tons of tv,radio, print ads over the years, so i know video creativity...this video of Sing for Absolution has got to be the most creative and dynamic video ever produced in the history of telecommunication...how one mind came up with a rocket lift off to some planet (back to earth a million years ahead??? sure looks like New York devastated!)just from one word in the lyrics "falling", is a stroke of genius...that's the only word that could possibly link the lyrics to anything remotely space travel!!!...for heaven sake, it's a love song!!!...no lyrics insinuating a drop of cosmic travel...yet it fits so perfectly...unbelievable...so many undertones...BILLBOARDS IN SPACE NO LESS!!...did you notice the subliminal?...in the very beginning after the missles go off to fight off the iceberg's advance on to civilization (more than likely New York circa 2120)notice the square tv-screens in white affixed to the tall buildings...stop the video and notice it is the visual of that unusual looking chick on the huge billboard that the rocket ship passes by later as they exit earth's orbit... and she appears very subtly and blurred again as they rocket through another sphere just seconds later...incredible creativity...hats off to the video team for this stroke of genius...they must be smokin' some hawaiian shit!!!!
