Silversun Pickups Lyrics
In the brutally cold world of Big Rock Biz, there’s
something very comforting about just knowing that a band
like L.A.’s Silversun Pickups exists. That feeling derives
from the group’s searingly sumptuous music, sure, but it
has a lot to do with knowing their rather humble origins
and super-admirable raison d’etre.
Silversun Pickups, you see, rather than being just another
fiercely determined young band willing to claw and scrap
their way to the top of the rock heap, genuinely appear to
be far more like a gang of real, true friends More...

Review about Silversun Pickups songs
My experiences | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Three Seed performed by Silversun PickupsThis song always reminds me of the times before bad things in my life started happening and I had to learn to grow up fast. I guess I could say that for me it's about transitioning from a phase of ignorance and innocence to a phase filled with knowledge about the world that I didn't like. The months before I was hit and nearly killed by an SUV, I had been listening to this a lot. That year I also lost two beloved family members. I had to learn to cope with depression really quickly and I developed a bleak outlook on life. This song reminds me of the times before I developed such a bleak outlook.
Great road song | Reviewer: Grizz
------ About the song Lazy Eye performed by Silversun PickupsAbsolutely LOVE this song. It's great for hittin' the open road, and steppin' on the gas just a little too hard when you're screaming along with him.
The "its so fun to relate" line, is actually, "That's why I said I relate, I said we really have to fuck to relate.". It's censored out in some performances, so it makes it quite obvious. Also adds an interesting element to the "love story".
So beautiful | Reviewer: Jonathan

I'm very sure that it is actually "such shine". unless you have an album cover with lyrics, its definitely "such shine"
such a sad love song with the pretext of positive instrumentals. so beautiful

------ About the song Lazy Eye performed by Silversun PickupsOk so the line "that's why I said we relate, I say we relate, its so fun to relate" is epic. When I saw and heard it, I actually wanted to cry, that was a beautiful sentence, and I'm glad this was the song and sentence to start up my day. Bieng an insomniac with depression, you hate to see the sun rise, but this song helped me a lot, and I'm proud to say that it is a very beautiful song.... :')

------ About the song Three Seed performed by Silversun Pickupshearing this songs makes me realize that i have missed out on the only guy i could ever love trully. my stupidity of my youthful thoughts pushed the truth out of the way, and made me miss out on the one guy that was the best thing for me. we gave ourselves to each other on this song, and i will forever remember that.
i miss you jlw

------ About the song Three Seed performed by Silversun PickupsIthink the song is about being blinded by love where only person within therelationship feels something completely different from the other. When the one person is faced with the end of his/her relationship they feel as though that the sums don't add up at all, and because he/she was blinded by love, they cannot trace how they got to that point. As if there are two cameras filming the same scenes, except one movie turns out differently than the other

------ About the song Lazy Eye performed by Silversun PickupsOkay, so this is my favorite SSPU song, coming in at a close second is Substitution. This song reminds me of many different things. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I get to see them in concert March 30 with Muse!!!!!!!!

------ About the song Panic Switch performed by Silversun PickupsI agree completely with Mat, and i write music myself. This song reminds me of "When the Music's Over" by The Doors. He's talking about loving music and, like this song, the chorus is the only time when he actually says that, and even then you still gotta pay attention and listen. This song is great and it brings out a lot of emotion.
Shining Light in Music's Dark Time | Reviewer: Mat
------ About the song Panic Switch performed by Silversun PickupsIt's been a long time since I've personally heard lyrics this ambiguous make such a strong point. His wording is reminiscent of Eddie Vedder's ability to write songs that are seemingly about nothing, but get the intended emotion evoked in the listener. Again, one hell of a bright spot in a really terrible time to be a music junkie. Hopefully bands like Dispatch, Silversun Pickups and The Script can help turn the page from mass produced catchy garbage to well written pieces of poetry and I can't wait to see the outcome.
