Genesis Silent Sun Lyrics

Last updated: 01/08/2013 10:17:50 AM

The silent sun that never shines
She is the warmth of my lonely heart
The motion of a turning wheel
Can't you stop it and look around?

Baby you feel so close
I wish you could see my love
Baby you've changed my life
I'm trying to show you...why

A tiny stone that hides from me
Can't you see that I'm just outside?
A mountain stream that chills the sea
Can't you feel in your useless pride?

Baby you feel so close
I wish you could see my love
Baby you've changed my life
I'm trying to show you...why

When night reveals a star-filled sky
I want to hold it in my hands
When snowflakes heal the ugly ground
Your beauty hides the joy I've found

Baby you feel so close
I wish you could see my love
Baby you've changed my life
I'm trying to show you...why

I have just found this song that I heard on the radio back in the 60s. My brother was a Genesis fan but I only knew the song was by this group I did not know the title.I was about 8years old. I am so pleased I found this song its the first time Ive heard it since then. I have been searching for the tile for years. I am just learning at 60 to use a computer. It brings back lovely memories for me as a child in a happy loving home.

I was looking for this! | Reviewer: C Warheit | 10/22/08

I was looking for this song. I have a cassette that I bought at I think, a garage sale or something. I can see where it may have come from the earliest Genesis recordings due to the string arrangements, but the songs.. This is a cassette on Decca Records that came from Madrid...?
It's also got "That's Me", "Where the Sour turns to Sweet", "In the Beginning", "Fireside Song", "The Serpent", "Am I Very Wrong".. and others like "A Winter's Tale", and "One-Eyed Hound". I've searched through Amazon everywhere and can't find this stuff, and I'd love to get this on CD. Any ideas? Thanks - Claudia in AZ
