She Lyrics - Green Day

Review The Song (32)

She screams in silence
a Sullen riot penetrating through her mind
Waiting for a sign
To smash the silence with the brick of self-control

Are you locked up in a world
Thats been planned out for you
Are you feeling like a social tool without a use

Scream at me until my ears bleed
I'm taking heed just for you

She's figured out
All her doubts were someone else's point of view
Wa-king up this time
To smash the silence with the brick of self-control

Are you locked up in a world
Thats been planned out for you
Are you feeling like a social tool without a use

Scream at me until my ears bleed
I'm taking heed just for you

Are you locked up in a world
Thats been planned out for you
Are you feeling like a social tool without a use

Scream at me until my ears bleed
I'm taking heed just for you

I agree with Jules 100%

Their style of music does vary, but that's what makes them good. Green Day is my favorite band, and I'm not saying they are the best, but I can't stand when people talk trash about Green Day, so do your effin reaserch!

Green Day is STILL fucking amazing!!!

Generation music | Reviewer: Lilah | 8/4/12

You know music needs to evolve. As a band gets older their music evolves, that's what Green Day's music did. You can label "old fan" or a "new fan", but all and all everyone is still a fan. If you want to drop out when their music evolves into something else by all means go ahead. But you really don't need to pick on the fans of their newer music.

Besides their older stuff is still there to listen to. Every band "grows up" if you like the punkier/harder stuff jump to a younger band. They are an older band they have been there through many generations of people. I grew up listening primarily to American Idiot, but my brother played stuff from Dookie too. Anyways they're always going to get hell for doing something or another wrong. I think everyone should just listen to their music (or not)and quit bagging on them.

i seriously want green day back | Reviewer: NIkhil | 1/11/12

im a gr8 Green day fan, and my first song was HOLIDAY! I dont think their newer stuff is punk rock nemore, but still, they are pretty cool. And she practically made me cry (along with Viva La Gloria),AND murder city practically made me dance. In my opinion, the reason for their shift is that, people get bored hearing the same Bass-precussion-rythem guitar repitions. i hardly found ne diffrence between the music of Basket Case and When i come Around. there is nothing wrong in being new.

"She" is a good song, as well as the entire album. Green Day is indeed a good, if not great band. But I think it's hillarious that people swear on their life that Green Day is the greatest band of all time. Really? I agree that they're better than some of the other artists that are out there, but Green Day is a sellout band. By definition, selling out means signing a record contract. When Green Day did one of those biography things about the band, they even admitted that they "Sold-Out". Some of Green Day's newer stuff is okay, but the newer stuff is horrible compared to their earlier music. For MindzuiX who commented on 5/13/10, Green Day has always been pop! Every genre of music has at least 1 artist who is pop, and Green Day cashed in. I would love it if Green day went back to their early years as a band. Maybe they would come out with some better material!

Awesome Song, Big Headed Fans | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/24/11

Everyone in this topic, opinions are not facts. Just because someone doesn't like green day doesn't mean they are "retarded" Or "stupid. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Can there be one place where everyone isn't having a pissing contest.

Also just because you listen to music doesn't mean that you are an expert.

That said Green day was good, and still has consistently good but more matured stuff. In my OPINION.

Have a great day. Enjoy your eternal pissing contest.

Shut Up...Green Day Rules! | Reviewer: KiKi | 3/28/11

I hearing how people say "I like old Green Day better" "They are such sellouts" Shut up! Seriously Green Day still kicks ass! They are better musicians than that crap that's out there today! Green Day's music has real meaning which muisc is lacking today.

I've been loving Green Day since I was in 7th grade. I love thier music! Their music has been good since they were in their early 20's to their music today!

So for all of you who bitch about how they are "sellouts" shut the hell up and listen to Justin Bieber then! GREEN DAY FOREVER!!!!

me sometimes | Reviewer: kaiju | 10/21/10

i like this song cuz sometimes it reminds me of me. it's not but sometimes it feels that way.

i agree with aoife and the rest of you like him/her. green day will forever be better than the shit people think is the best. there ain't no arguing that green day is the best out there.
sorry if your not a fan. but you don't know what your missing.

Green Day are and always will be amazing | Reviewer: Aoife | 6/25/10

I hate the way people constantly criticise Green Day nowadays.
Yeah, I know they've changed from their beginnings but isn't that what is expected of them? I mean they're not in their teens or early twenties any more. They're in their late thirties and they write about what they think is important.
I have been listening to Green Day for half of my life, literally.
I started when I was eight and I am sixteen now. They changed my life immensely and I recently got to see them for the first time.
They are so passionate about what they do and, despite what everyone says, they still care about the music.

GD rocks as it always did | Reviewer: MindziuX | 5/13/10

some ppl here say that green day went commercial. Yes, they became very popular but compared with other nowaday music stuff they still remain unique. Guys just successfully made punk rock opera and ppl calls them names:,, they went emo", ,,older stuff was better" and so on. Would it be a good thing if they play the same thing all the time? They tried something new and thats congratulated. I believe they wont go pop because they just rock!!!

green day <3

Haha. | Reviewer: Jules | 8/10/09

No-one on here better have judged this band unless they have heard them play live.

Which I have. Several times.

Their style of music may have changed but - um... That's what it's /supposed/ to do. They write about the times, about what's currently happening. Do some research on the lyrics before you start yapping about something you haven't even tried to figure out yet.

And, if you listen to their 'new' stuff [which it's ridiculous to call it that, seeing as how.... anything made now would be 'new'... >_>] it has a lot of the same style as their earlier albums. In fact, I hear a ton of similarities. So if you claim they're like some completely different band now, lol, you're an oblivious moron.

I'll continue to support and love Green Day. They've never let me down; in fact, they're the one fucking band you can count on.

And, people who complain about 'teeny-boppers' liking them - The fact that they have such a wide age group is... phenomenal. When I go to a Green Day concert, I see age groups of all sorts - older people, younger people - my twelve-year-old sister adores Green Day, not just because of a 'crush' on one of them or one song she may have liked the tune to - she likes them because they can relate to her, and the real world. They make a statement over and over again, and kids need that. Do I get irked when someone hears Boulevard of Broken Dreams on the radio and acts like they love Green Day based on hearing the one song? Yeah, just a lil. Cos I've been bloody in love with them for years. But you know what, that's not fair to get irked about it, in fact, true fans should be happy that Green Day's messages are being broken in to future generations.

... I just can't even begin to really explain what they mean to me. Haters used to piss me off, because they have no idea what they're talking about. But now I just shrug and say "whatever." Not my problem if you can't appreciate something that's beautiful.

And Green Day is, indeed, beautiful.

this song is about meh.. luvit!
i don't really care if green day isn't a punk band anymore. yes, I think their old music was better but i like their new stuff too. but everyone has their own opinion..

Throwing my own two cents in. | Reviewer: Bradlib | 4/22/09

Green Day mid-90's was punk, sure. Modern, post-American Idiot Green Day retains some punk flavor, but puts it into a different beast. Like adding "Punk" soup mix to a bowl of 'pop ramen'. I don't think it's fair to criticize change for the sake of change, but I will agree with Steve, they grabbed up the 'America Sucks' banner without hesitation because they knew it would sell. (But hey, if it nets a cool few mil, right?) I believe selling out is justified, and ultimately (if subconsciously) the goal of every aspiring musician who's ever dreamed of hitting the big time.

All three of them are great players, and are entitled to as much success as they are willing to push for. That said, I wish the rabid fanbase of 12-year-olds calling 40-year-old men "Teh sexx" would stop.

American Idiot is a bad song | Reviewer: Steve | 4/15/09

I agree with Thomas. Green Day's old stuff was way better. Warning, and everything after it, has been pretty bad. Know Your Enemy, the first song released from their newest album, is terrible.

American Idiot was only succesful because is latched onto the "Fuck America" bandwagon that was so popular in the early 2000's. It's when a band makes a song designed to latch onto a current, popular social trend like "Fuck America" that you know they've gone commercial.

R.I.P Green Day.
