Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Lyrics
Artist(Band):The Beatles
Review The Song (11)Print the Lyrics
It was twenty years ago today,
Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play
They've been going in and out of style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile
So may I introduce to you
The act you've known for all these years
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
We hope you will enjoy the show
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Sit back and let the evening go
Sgt. Pepper's lonely, Sgt. Pepper's lonely
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
It's wonderful to be here
It's certainly a thrill
You're such a lovely audience
We'd like to take you home with us
We'd love to take you home
I don't really want to stop the show
But I thought that you might like to know
That the singer's going to sing a song
And he wants you all to sing along
So let me introduce to you
The one and only Billy Shears
And Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Review about Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Day in the life | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/28/09

Day in the life consists of two unfinished songs. John Lennon had a song that didnt have a middle part, and Paul McCartney had a song that he was working on. And they just tried to connect them, put Pauls song in the middle and it worked. They used a orcestra climaks to connect and end it. And in my opinion it is one of the greatest songs ever written.

concept album | Reviewer: baker | 12/1/07

Many critics agree that Sgt. Pepper was one of the first "concept album/rock operas." The songs go together b/c the album is meant to be played as a whole and, though these song fuse together best, all other songs musically blend with the complete record.

2 songs = 1 medley | Reviewer: Loser | 9/25/07

The two songs are part of a medley. They are always played together by disc jockeys as they are meant to be. The guy who posted the lyrics also posted the lyrics for 'With a little help from my friends' by themselves. Most Beatles fans associate the 2 songs as the opening medley for the album. Also, George can be heard prominently in backing vocals. With John being heard slightly.

isnt it one song with 2 parts? thats what i always thought, but then again im no beatles fanatic or anything. but i have never heard one part without the other.

I think it's better this way | Reviewer: Platypus | 7/9/07

Although these 2 songs are different, the first one is clearly an introduction to the second, the music doesn't sotp between. And it would be strange to stop the lyrics after the "let me introduce you...". He should just have mentionned that it was 2 songs combined in one.

dude. | Reviewer: smokeweed1984@hotmail.com | 6/28/07

dude who cares? Oh my fuckin god. hes not a BIG fan if he put the same exact fuckin lyrics into the same exact fuckin song but forgot to put that it was a lil help from my friends. wow. internet beatle junkies. a bunch of fuckin kooky cats.

Matt | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/26/07

It is two songs yet it is combined with the first. Load the cd onto your computer and you will see that.

hi | Reviewer: MerseyBlue | 6/19/07

On the internet somewhere there is a version of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and its molded together with 'With a little help from my friends'

Maybe he got the lyrics from that..

Two Songs | Reviewer: Beatles Lover | 6/14/07

Nicole's right...you did put two songs in. You may have looked in the Sgt. Pepper's CD booklet and thought the lyrics for Sgt. Pepper LHCB and With A Little Help From My Friends was in one song, because they're right by each other on the page and look like they could be the same song on 2 pages...but they sound totally different and have nothing to do with each other. I'm not sure how big of a Beatles fan you are...if you're a big fan you probably just accidentally put them together, but if not, you may have been mistaken. Well anyways, two different songs with 2 different singers (Paul sings Sgt. Pepper's LHCB, Ringo sings the WALHFM Friends). Just telling you (in a very long comment!)
