Review The Song (25)Print the Lyrics
I'm seein red
Don't think you'll have to see my face again
don't have much time for sympathy
Cause it never happened to me
You're feelin blue now
I think you bit off more than you could chew
And now it's time to make a choice
And all I wanna hear is your...

So follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know
So Follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know

And foolish lies
Well can't you see I tried to compromise
Cause what you say ain't always true
And I can see the tears in your eyes
And what you said now
Can't stop the words from running through my head
And what I'd do to get through to you
But you'd only do it again

So follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know
So Follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know

Well I can confess,
I don't know what to make from all this mess
Don't have much time for sympathy
Cos it never happened to me, you're feelin down now
I don't know where I'll be when you come around
And now it's time to make a choice
And all I wanna hear is your voice...

Scott Russo said in an interview that he wrote this song from his girlfriend's point of view. He was actually the one who cheated in that relationship. This song makes more sense if you follow what Scott Russo said and look at it from a girl's point of view.

It sounds like his girlfriend cheated on him and she is trying to say it won't happen again but he doesn't believe her. When he says "dont have much time for sympathy
Cause it never happened to me" I think he has cheated on someone before.

my two cents | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/28/09

Honeslty I agree with anyone saying the song seems to be about trying to make something work but it also seems like its them hoping thigns would change but not knowing if they will its them trying again and again and finally backing off a little bit to maybe show this other person that theyre not gonna keep doing it anymore and they see the other person maybe hurt or realizing theyve lsot out and saying to them theres no sympothy from me because youve never showed any ... idk for some reason this kinda fits the situation im in and the whole title of it ... seeing red ... could be how this person is like frustrated and even mad ... this song doesnt seem to fit the whole killing someone idea that some of you may have ... anyway jsut my two cents

great song | Reviewer: Ethan | 12/30/08

I agree with mark and I also agree with an anonymous reviewer when they said it was about them putting a lot into a relationship and not getting anything in return and when they finally leave and move on the other person realizes (or hopefully realizes) what they had and how good that person was to them. Thats why he says "don't have much time for sympathy" cause they never got any when they tried so hard to make things work. This song really hits home with me cause I just recently went through this. I tried everything I could to make the relationship work and things were great then outta the blue it was over and I worked and worked to make things right again and I finally just left them. Hopefully they will realize the mistake they made but then again like the song says "don't have much time for sympathy" they would have to show me they were really sorry and regretted doing what they did. But I don't see that happening so its just time to move on. Great song though.

seeing red | Reviewer: Athran | 10/24/08

I love this song and I agree with mark. Just cause the title sounds angry doesnt mean there is some sort of hidden meaning that you must decipher like its your life. Just listen to the lyrics and enjoy.

it's kinda confusin... | Reviewer: n/a | 2/28/08

damn this song is confusing...but 1ce u read the lyrics it helps...SO I THINK that the person is in a dissaster...hes broken heart...doesn't wanna try no more...is confuse...and is letting the other person decide and 2 take in consideration that he/she should BRING down their pride...that not always the person will b right...has tried...yet the person continues on doing it...SO HE NO LONGER HAS SYMPATHY n he/she is letting them know that...ALL HE knows is that he wants 2 hear the voice...know that theyre still there afterall...but doesn't guarantee that he will remain with these feelings or assures he/she loves the person 1ce they had return...ITS MORE OF A NEED THAN A WANT OMG SO CONFUSING!

XD youguys think to much. i just think its an awsome song, and btw sarahh life isnt necisarily good withought love then you would have no reason to keep going.

about what?!? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/6/07

This song does not seem to be about one killing himself, herself or anyone else. What it seems to be about is a relationship where one tried harder to make things work than the other would. When the one who keeps trying finally gives up and moves on is when the other person always seems to come around. Its about how the one who finally gets the stregnth to leave not having sympathy for the other because no one ever seemed to sympathize with them in their time of need. It is about a real experience and how it always seems to work, when one wants someone, the someone always wants something or someone else because they always think that they are safe and their partner won't leave. But when they finally do leave is when reality hits them and the dont know what to make of it.

what i think its about | Reviewer: Tyler | 12/4/07

this song is about someone hurting him and he gets over it but when thay come to him hurt the same way he was hurt all he wants to do is here them apologize but if they wont do that then he wont "have much time for sympathy.." because they had none for him in his time of need
